Noob needs help- Addon

Hello,

I bought https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/gameaddon/34762/the-kobold-grimoire from stand alone games.  I found where you can add it to a campaign, and where to read the info, but I do not see where to add it to the character generator function.  Did I just pay for something that is specifically for roll20, but doesn't actually function WITH roll20's tools because that seems silly to me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

As far as im aware if it has a compendium for character creation it will be in the charactermancer. Not sure if this is so for the new 2024 sheet though.

Heyo,
Yeah, I tried to check the 2014 mancer and it wasn't in that tool either.  I've also noticed missing subclasses.  I bought that bundle that had the 3 main books in it with a few extras for like $90, but I don't see all the subclasses either.  Tempest Domain for one, is in my hardcopy of the PHB, but not available in either mancer.  :(

I was reading the contents of the purchase and didnt see anything for player characters only npc stats.

I suppose it must be.  It showed the base kobold and a few other variations, I guess I assumed the base would allow you to select them as a race.  This site is just about too tedious in its restrictions for my liking.  Want to use a homebrew?  Sure, use the old CM!  Want to be able to select it again later for another character?  Nope.  Enter it every single time you want to run one.  Tedious.

I also realized that they took the Tempest Domain out of the new PHB, because wotc is greedy as can be.

I appreciate you taking the time to look into this and help me out.  Have a great day!

The only thing i can say about creating homebrew is if you are a pro subscriber you could transfer from game to game with the transmogrifier, this saves having to write everything out again.

Hi Diretrexftw,

If a Domain is not available in the Characterbuilder (2024) or Charactermancer (2014) but it is available in the hardcopy then that is likely either a settings issue or a bug. I would contact Roll20 via the Help Center to notify them and try to get a resolution.

With that said, I would definitely check your Compendium settings for your game. If you have both the Free Basic Rules AND the Player's Handbook enabled I would disable FBR. Do this for 2014 and for 2024 if you have both Player's Handbooks.

The reason is I have seen bugs where the FBR is overriding the Player's Handbook. The FBR has less content than the PHB.
