out of game map design with purchased assets

first off if this is already suggested somewhere please someone link me to it. So over the years I have purchased a absolute ton of map asset packs, I love making my own maps with them. But what I have consistently noticed is that they lag horribly bad especially for the DM. My system is a higher end gaming Rig, and I have more then ample bandwidth, yet still if I make any sizable map I have to do so outside of roll20 and then import the finished image into roll 20 which then works perfectly. No lag So what I would like is a way to make the maps in roll20 with my purchased assets and then send it as a single image to the game/ map layer. I can kind of do this via screenshot my screen then trimming the screenshot and loading it back into roll 20 sizing it and then deleting all the tiles I used from the map layer. I assume technical reason are why they can't handle so many tiles on the map layer,  but offering some way to make the maps using all these amazing assets within roll 20 and still having it work would be amazing. Only thing I can think of would be a option to turn the entire map layer into a single image somehow. Without having to screenshot it or build it in Photoshop by exporting the assets.
