Hmm. I know nothing about this RPG but I saw the live-action series and thought it looked like fun. Oh, and also one of the animated "movies," I think. I might be interested in playing if it works out, if you'd accept someone unfamiliar with the rules. I'm an old-school RP'er from way back. Thanks. Add: Sorry, availability. I am. How much group discussion of characters do we want to do? I’d like to play something in the Jet Black variety. Big. Cyberlimb, not necessarily an ex-cop. Rough and tumble sort, though. 

I notice Roll20 does not support Cowboy Bebop. Will we just be exchanging messages? Why not Discord in that case?

That kind of character would be perfect! I do plan to discuss character concepts and possibly have a session 0. I will be utilizing Discord for the game for sure.
