S098-S099-Cold_Blooded_League Sunday January 6, 2019 Recap: Paladin recalls the team to the
Empire State Building to engage Draco and neutralize The Neutralizer! The battle begins … to be
continued, Same Bat-Time, same Bat-Channel. Resume: The Brigade engaged Draco and his
two dragon-men assistants. As the heroes engage the reptiles the Dragon-King
breaks through the ceiling to defend the Neutralizer. The battle rages for a couple
of seconds when the rest of the Cold Blooded League storm in from the rooms
that abut the areas where the Neutralizer is being built. Draco starts the timer on the
device. In 10 seconds it will activate and neutralize the every mammal in its
effective radius, about 2 miles. While the rest of the team keep the League occupied
Network and Revenant take turns interfering with the time function preventing
it from reaching zero. As members of the League begin to
fall Stegron has a heavy weapon teleported in. He never gets a chance to use it
as the heroes gather close to ‘Greenhouse’ generator and the Neutralizer. Both
these devices are extremely volatile and could explode with cataclysmic devastation
should they be hit by a stray shot. The Draco’s dragon-men minions are
discovered to be robots when one of them is smashed. Revenant tears out a series of
wires on the Neutralizer that effectively stops the timer. More of the League are knocked out;
only Stegron and Snapdragon remain. The Neutralizer has been neutralized and
there is nothing left to win by staying here. Stegron uses the same teleport technology
that brought in the heavy weapon to remove himself to safety. Snapdragon uses
her invisibility to sneak away. Paladin contacts PART and has the unconscious
villains taken away; Dinosaurus, Draco, and Dragon King, With the ‘Greenhouse’ Generator shut
down the bitter artic cold (a natural phenomenon) asserts dominance of the
weather in the city. The Brigade return to the Bunker and enjoy a sumptuous
meal prepared by Preston to celebrate. Monday January 7, 2019 [GM Error – I release
the ‘Early Edition of the newspaper which included the story about how
Cassandra did not show up for the start of her trial. That would not be known
until the Evening Edition. Please disregard that article or allow time to pass to
Monday Night as opposed to Monday Morning] Big Tuna and other
members of the Brigade have questions about the former patron of the team
Cassandra Clemons. As the tale is woven, with undeserved negative light being
cast on Paladin, as to her history and the murder accusations against her the
group becomes increasingly curious about her. Cherry Darling, a
current guest at the Bunker, comes forward with a letter that was delivered to
the Bunker a week or so ago. The letter is from Pearl Ivy and says that Andrew
Rufus is a bad guy. Ivy pleads for the group help Cassandra admitting that she
is not a nice person but saying she does not deserve being sent to prison for
murders (that Ivy) does not think she committed. End of Session: EXP Awards: Paladin
