Hello, we run Icewind Dale on Mondays at 1PM PST. We lost a player and need one more to round out our party. We are entering chapter 2 in our campaign and have still yet gotten into the meat and potatoes of the Frostmaiden campaign. Our party includes: Query, the Warforged Bard, someone trying really hard to be the hero the Dale needs. He will take decisive and swift action against not only the party's foes, but the foes of common safety. May be trying to build a gnoll army to defend the trade routes of the Icewind Dale. This is 1/3 spite, 1/3 true good intentions and 1/3 need to pet the dogs. Simultaneously birds' biggest problem and their biggest target. Norin, the Goliath Barbarian. Norin is a werebear that doesn't shy away from a fight. His inspiration is to improve and learn fine dining survival skills and feed the people. Possibly huggable, definite cannibal. Norin always tries to find a solution to problems with his food. Has begun dating a sea hag which we foresee no problems arising from that relationship at all. Morning, the Tiefling Cleric/Ranger. Morning is a fierce combatant and incredible tracker, he tends to be the more serious member of the group. He is very against some of the more... immoral activities of his party but he always finds a common reason to keep moving forward with them. Will shoot you in the eye, and his god is very interested in seeing if Morning can redeem the souls of Query's gnoll army My name is Glam, I am the DM and use they/them pronouns. We are a queer friendly group. Ableist or bigoted slurs are not allowed at my table(words like retard or anything like that are a no-go). We all live spread across the USA, except for Morning who resides in Brazil. English is not their first language and sometimes we ask them for clarification but there are no major communication issues. If you'd like to join us with a respectful mindset towards your fellow player, we would love to have you. If you decide to join I will clarify all player pronouns :) We use some homebrewed items and feats. I am open to homebrew as the DM as long as you allow me the final balance check for our campaign. This is a very dark campaign with dark themes as written. I try to keep it close to how WoTC wrote it to keep the feeling of horror in a bleak world. That being said, we do get silly as a group. I like to keep our jokes to the PG-13 area if possible but this is still a campaign for adults. There are no sexual themes in our campaign and that will not be explored or allowed outside the "I seduce the bar maid close curtains". We do not do PVP against eachother unless very specific moments call for it and all players at the table agree. If anything makes you uncomfortable you can ask me to stop DMing while we figure it out. This is a horror campaign with gory visuals and themes that will be explored, please tell me ahead of time if there's anything you don't want to see. We run a neutral good party, though that is shaky ground sometimes. The summary of the campaign is that the goddess Auril is physically in the world of DND and keeping Icewind Dale under eternal night and winter. The party is trying to make life worth living through this harsh two years and possibly try to find an end to the Frostmaiden's spell. At this point in the story, the party is in open warfare with a bandit caravan that had the Dale under their thumb. We play at 1PM PST until 5PM at the latest. I check in with everyone at 4PM to see if they're still up to continue or if my next part of the game is too long to finish before 5. Expect to be at the table 3-4 hours with bio breaks. We are using the original 5E rules, not the 2024. We run out of a discord server to voice chat and play here on roll20. Please DM if interested! We also run Mad Mage as a looser more silly campaign if one of our players has to miss a day! I will try to run with as little as 2 players if we are missing people. Mad Mage will be more fun and silly and less story oriented and you can bring any current level character to the party for those sessions.
