I believe the Compendium (<a href="https://roll20.net/compendium/" rel="nofollow">https://roll20.net/compendium/</a>) could use an update/overhaul. Just going there, has no function. I have to choose the books/content I would like to look through/use, THEN I get the search function. I have better luck going into a game I have created and using the search in that to find what I'm after because that searched through everything I own rather than just individual books/content. Why not have an overall compendium of all books/content I own through Roll20? Why not have a search function on the home compendium page that can/will pull information from owned books/content instead of making me drill down through all of them to find what I might be looking for? I'm better off using other sites rather than using the Roll20 Compendium by being forced to be in a game to find information. If I want to look up character ideas, why should I be forced to be in a game to look through what options I have? Why not let me look through my books/content as a whole to plan out a character. This part, I understand due to multiple reasons, but If my players are sharing my compendium in a game, why not let them have access to view it outside the game so they can also plan on character builds? I just don't see the Roll20 Compendium being very useful outside of being inside of a created game, and even when in there, it's not the easiest to find the information. It's better than the normal compendium but could be better as well.
