Assigning Tokens to Doors

I would love to have the ability to add a token to a door! I love adding extra details to my maps and I want to make it more player friendly.  You can do it in a scuffed way with a multi-sided token and place a door on top, but you have to open the door with the light layer, then switch the token display as separate actions. It would be super cool if you could link them together to have the token and the door be synced up.

Hi :D,  Some assumptions: I am assuming you are not using Dynamic Lighting's door option. I am assuming you are using an image of a door, and then a Dynamic Lighting light barrier on the Light layer.  You can do that with a Mod (API Script).  I suggest asking for one in the Mods (API Scripts) forum .  What you want it to do:  Change the token's side Remove or add the light barrier under that token.
I don't know what the original poster had in mind, but what *I* would like to see is the ability to make the doors that you drop on the lighting layer look different, and use tokens from various art packs or other images. For example, there is an animated door in one of the art packs that looks like a wooden door that swings open. I'd like to use that as a door. But, I can't... it doesn't work when placed on the map on the dynamic lighting layer to block movement, or behave as the "standard" roll20 door. Yes, I can place it on the map, and when I click on it (as GM) it swings open. But, it doesn't block movement when closed, it can't be "locked" and can't be "opened" by the players like the Dynamic Lighting door option.

Saul J.,  Yup, that is just about what I thought that :D was suggesting.  My post was not a comment on the suggestion itself but more of a "here is how you can do this using current tools" statement. :)
I would like to be able to change the images on the lighting layer doors and windows.
