Those new features look great! I loooove the new spell page. Question: one of the comments I have seen was being able to communicate th efull spell writeup to the GM, (with range, components, etc.) instead of the partial spellblock that is currently sent to chat. Will there be an option for that? In any case, the filtering, space management, indication of prepared status, multiple DCs, etc. All that looks a quantum leap away from the current setup (and it looks like the current setup is still there for those who prefer it). I'm liking this!
While nice - I'd gander many DMs like myself still won't move over until all the mods/api are compatible with the 2024 sheet. Also curious - is the 2024 sheet always in dark mode? I have visual issues that makes it hard for me to see stuff in dark mode and that is a major turn off for me. I couldn't find a button to turn the sheet itself into light / bright mode.

I couldn't find a button to turn the sheet itself into light / bright mode. Light mode is in development. There was a thread for it on the Roll20 Discord a while back , asking for feedback. If you use the Stylus extension, you can get an early preview by installing the style from here . I switched to it a while back. It is so much more readable!
Any chance you can make a simplified version that is just the 2014 character sheet but able to use the 2024 content? That one is still so much faster and easier to use for custom content, can allow you to sort your inventory, and easily add new things. Right now I'm not really seeing a reason to use Roll20 after my current campaigns are done given that if I wanted a more complex and unwieldy character sheet then the 2014 DND one, then I could just use Foundry and get better features.

There is a suggestion for that: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/12200974/can-d-and-d-2024-content-be-usable-with-the-old-d-and-d-sheet
I enjoy the customization options of the 5e2024 character sheet, although I would like to be able to customize the character's Proficiency Bonus.
Will we get the option to choose custom subclasses, backgrounds, etc. in the character builder? We play with homebrew and that's an essential feature for me with players who want to be able to build through character mancer instead of creating manually or adjusting everything manually on the sheet after creation. I want to switch to the new sheets but without this I can't.
I've noticed that dragging on a Staff of the Magi adds the spells from the item to the character's list of spells denoting each additional spell as such. However the DCs for various spells are incorrect as they are tied to the ability score of the caster based on what ability is being saved against. Eg. Fireball is cast using a Wizard's Dexterity to set the DC rather than his caster stat, Intelligence. This might be a bug in the item rather than the sheet but thought I would bring it up. Haven't tested it with other items that cast multiple spells using the caster's DC.
All I really need is that the resources aren't marked as check marks but numbers as they were before, I do not want 50 check marks for my 50 arrows.
Where did you guys find developers to the project? Me and my friends wanna hire one to do a character sheet for Storyteller and we can't find one. I'll be glad if you can help.
Can you take a character from a 2014 sheet and just copy it to the new 2024 sheet?

Gavin H. said: Can you take a character from a 2014 sheet and just copy it to the new 2024 sheet? HI Gavin! At this point, there is no conversion path. You can create a game with both old and new character sheets living side-by-side (in Jumpgate), but you cannot convert one to another.
Are there plans to add Sanity Ability scores to the 2024 D&D Sheet and, if so, when?

Are Sanity and Honor listed as alternative ability scores, like they were in the 2014 edition?
When will we be able to export PRF character sheets? At minimum, having a print version with all content displayed at once would be nice.

That was my understanding as well. Since to my recollection, they were never actually used within the context of an officially published WotC product (i.e. no module, adventure, campaign or expansion book employed them), and they do not appear in either SRD, I'm not sure if they are likely to be included in the 2024 sheet. Still, it doesn't hurt to ask.
Creating a few characters on the new sheet. Can I really not adjust the quantity of items in the inventory? Or adjust the order the items appear? If I can I cannot figure out how.
I know they are working on being able to reorder the Inventory. For quantity, just click the i to the right of the item and you an update there…
Has anyone found a way to decrease the size of the rolls in the chat? Using the old sheet, you can have like 4 or 5 multi-damage attacks and their damage visible without scrolling. Now with the new sheets, one attack and then rolling the damage takes up most of the chatlog. If I have three people swing twice in the old version I have to scroll a little, meanwhile in the new version 3 people swinging twice I'm scrolling for eternity and slowing combat down. This feels like I'm doing something wrong because of how much of an issue this seems to be.

I've had this issue and been vocal about it since the sheet was introduced. There are several areas where I feel the roll output could be dramatically improved.
Agreed there Keith. While I do see the improvements, the overall creation of characters is just painful. On the old NPC sheet it took two clicks, then I could fill everything in with just keyboard strokes, tabbing through. Now even tabbing is slower because of the animations on changing the focus dialog box, and it takes another couple clicks each time I want to change sections like from ability scores to features to actions and attacks. I don't want to get conspiratorial, but going from 1 click to many clicks and multiple window changes to change an NPC strength score makes me feel like they don't want us making these changes (instead buying books and doing it all by drag-and-drop).

I have to disagree on the Character Builder approach. Although I do agree there is much more room for improvement on the number of clicks needed, this has improved dramatically, particularly for spell selection. But the current model is vastly superior for level management, actually allowing you to step backward in level, for example. I wouldn't say that this is a conspiracy to encourage buying more books, though. It's a consequence of sliding that bar between automation and customization towards the automation. Different folks are going to have different opinions on where that bar should be.
Is there a way to set a spell or inventory item to be visible on the combat page? To explain better, my players keep telling me how cumbersome the new sheets are, partially because - except for spells - the old sheets could have pretty much everything they needed on one page. And I can't blame them. I'll give an example from one character. My party's war domain cleric. She has a Guardian Emblem (Reaction to negate a critical hit), Shield of Faith, Sanctuary, Magic Weapon, Healing Word, and Spiritual Weapon available as additional reactions and bonus actions. She also has a Mace of Terror, which as an action lets her cast fear on a bunch of enemies. Of all those, only the healing word and spiritual weapon can be seen on the main combat page. It was an issue before, yes, but even more so now that everything's split up on different pages. And any help will be appreciated.
I just created a new jumpgate game, then went to my character vault and exported a 5e2024 character into the new game. Going back to the new game, I see this character but it has an empty character sheet.

It was a character sheet that I created, using https://app.roll20.net/characters/create/dnd2024byroll20

Thanks!

Did that fix the issue?
Yes
Followup - is it possible to convert a 2014 character sheet to a 2024 version?

Hello, I'm playing dnd 2024. I can't find an option to add warlock's Pact magic slots to my character sheet. I'm multiclassing into warlock from 2nd lvl of bard. So I created a custom warlock class, click on "manage" in my spell sheet, but there I can only add regular spell slots for my bard or warlock, and not warlock's "pact magic" ones, Any idea of how I can add a pact magic spell slot?

I am still just looking for a better way to sort my actions and abilties. It WAS doing it alphabetically, which was fine enough, but now even that option seems to be gone. I want to move my attacks to the top, my heals to the bottom, and sort them by how much they do, and I simply cannot do it within the first quick access section for Combat. I feel it should be simple to just drag them around, because I feel I could just do that whenever I wanted in the 2014 sheets.

The option to sort token actions alphabetically or not, should be a tooggle in the settings tab of the right hand panels. I have not tested to see whether the Beacon Sheet respects it.
Just wanted to post a few questions for the 2024 sheet. 1) It was easy to customize the 2014 sheet in "Settings > Game Settings > Default Sheet Settings" That functionality is missing for games built off the 2024 sheet (things like GM rolls always public, auto roll damage, add DEX to initiative, etc.). It can be done character sheet by character sheet as you add NPCs and monsters but not globally as a default. Roll20 provides some guidance that this is coming but it's missing from the roadmap. Does anyone know approximate timeline for this being added back in? 2) Does Roll20 have a hotkey to assign Advantage/Disadvantage on a roll like DDB does where you can hold SHIFT for Advantage and CTRL for Disadvantage? 3) Is there some way to force all attack rolls to be rolling 2d20 and showing the result of each but not doing it as 2 separate rolls in the chat log without using macros? 4) What is the purpose of the "Automatic" selection in the drop-down at the top of the 2024 character sheet? It seems too inefficient to use Query and have to click multiple times every single attack roll. Thanks!

It seems too inefficient to use Query and have to click multiple times every single attack roll. Thanks! 1. These default settings have moved to the Character Sheet Settings section of the VTT sidebar. Right now we only have a default NPC layout, but that's where the rest of those settings will go. There isn't a timeline on this, but the plan is to slowly add them in over time while we work on larger features. 2. No but this is a great idea and I'll bring it back to the team. 3. You can use advantage/disadvantage for this and just take whichever result is relevant. If you want it automatically for all attacks only, you can create a feature on a sheet, add a modifier to it (at the bottom of the edit feature form), and add Advantage/Disadvantage > Attacks > All. Then, when the sheet is set to Automatic, it will recognize that you want advantage on all attacks and include that in its calculations. 4. As I just mentioned, automatic will calculate a lot of bonuses, advantage, etc without you needing to do any work. For example, if you're a barbarian and turn on the Rage effect, it will recognize that you should have advantage on all strength saving throws and ability checks. If your sheet is set to Automatic, when you roll a strength ability check or saving throw, it will roll with advantage automatically. The downside of this is that there are a good chunk of things that the sheet doesn't know if the condition applies, because loading those conditionals into compendium data was too complicated to pull off. So for many of those things, we use the query modal. To use the fighter as an example this time, at level 13, you get a feature that lets you attack with advantage if your last attack was a miss (more or less). So, if you are in query mode, when you roll an attack it will give you a small blurb explaining why that option is there, and let you choose whether or not it applies. I personally use query mode on my own sheets because it lets me get the most out of all the advanced data we managed to load into the compendium. I guess I don't find it inefficient because I play spellcasters at least as often as not and in that case, there's no avoiding a second click anyway to accommodate the possibility of upcasting. It's not particularly simple to implement, but this is what all our current effort is dedicated towards, so please be patient just a bit longer :)
On 2024 NPC sheets how do I add a bonus to a savingthrow that is proficient. How do I even get it to correctly add proficiency in the first place.
Couple of issues I have noticed since the recent update: - Skilled Feat will not let you select skills in the Skills section, in the builder. Just shows "Select Proficiency" with nothing in the dropdown. - Custom Background (New Option) Does not allow you to select the 2 Skill and 1 Tool Proficiency.
Sorry for any double posts, still learning the forums. Hi! Big fan of the new OneDND sheet and generally just love it overall, just have some small issues that have been messing with flow and ease of access. Sorry if people have already said this stuff. This is what I've found hard to work with while making characters with the new OneDND sheet: - Unchecking items from your inventory does not adjust your weight (we are playing variant encumbrance so this matters). - Cannot customize the order of spells, features, inventory, etc. after creation. They just end up being placed in order of what was made first. - When dragging in class features from the compendium, they go to the "other" tab in features & traits when they should be in class features. For example, cunning action and sneak attack went into "other" instead of "class features." This could also be fixed if we could customize our own order I guess. - Cannot edit source type once we hit OK / exit the popup. So if there was an error you have to completely redo it. For example, needing to change something from your features tab from "background" to "class". - The "(i)" being what you use to edit your features and traits is confusing, when a gear icon is used to edit in the rest of the main page. Might just be a nitpick but it threw me off multiple times since I'd be looking for a gear.
