A triad of ancient evil moves to secure a power buried deep beneath the foundations of Sharn. This is a dark day for the City of Towers. Epic threats require epic solutions. Are you an honest gumshoe that worked your way up from the dark alleys of the lower wards, and now fears nothing? Or maybe you prefer wheelin' and dealin' in Skyway, where you can literally look down on the people whose lives you are toying with every time you strike a bargain. One way or another, when someone needs a special kind of problem solved, they come to you. The world of Eberron features all of the familiar D&D tropes like Wizards, Elves, Goblins, and of course Dragons, but set in an early modern, steampunk type world. After a hundred years of warfare, a hundred years of constantly creating new ways to kill each other, a tenuous treaty has allowed the people to begin building towards an uncertain future. This campaign will heavily emphasize the Pulp Action and Film Noir aspects of Eberron. Think of movies like Sin City or Big Trouble in Little China for the general vibe. This is a high level adventure, join us as we face epic tier enemies and reach level 20. Current Roster Level 17 as of March 07, 2024 Namba "Granana" Nawen : Custom Lineage, Genie Warlock: Part owner of Sharns best thrift shop for knick-knacks and charms, Granana always makes sure the team has plenty of snacks and cleans up after themselves. Pearl d'Ghallanda : Mark of Hospitality Halfling, Crown Paladin : A loyal scion of House Ghallanda and a devoted Paladin of the Soverign Host, Pearl maintains a strict code of ethics, even if it sometimes interferes with upholding the interests of her house. Vica d'Lyrandar: Mark of the Storm Half-Elf, Arcane Archer Fighter: Vica has found herself in the middle of a power struggle within her family. She is ambitious and clever. Vica will protect her house from outside enemies while fighting for change within. Zendrix Kalafar: Kalashtar, Death Cleric/Necromancer Wizard: Zendrix is a little different. She keeps to herself and doesn't like to be touched. But she has proven to be loyal and kind when it matters most. Oben Clawfoot: Halfling, Way of Mercy Monk: born into the Boromar family, Oben has sought out a way of peace and light, but still works with his family in Sharn when the time is right. Game Progress We are at level 17 and plan to go all the way to level 20. This campaign likely has a few months left This is a very tolerant group for players still learning. If you've never (or rarely) played high level D&D before, but you want to give it a shot, this would be a great opportunity. Tools used Roll20 will be our virtual table-top which we will use for maps, music, and other visual aids. Discord will be our primary means of communication, with dedicated voice and text channels for the game. Our rule books and character sheets will be hosted on DnD Beyond . I will share my library with you whenever we level up. I recommend, but do not require the Beyond 20 Browser extension. This will let you use Roll20 and DnD Beyond together seamlessly. About the GM My Strengths Over 30 years experience gaming with every kind of group. Reliable long-term games : Over 90% of my campaigns finish as scheduled. Cancelled sessions are very rare. Flexibility and Communication so we can work together to tell a great story. Tactical combat : I understand the rules but do not let them bog us down. Storytelling: Sometimes the 'Rule of Cool' is how legends are made. My Limitations I am not a voice actor, especially when it comes to accents. With this in mind, I work to make interactions memorable in other ways. I can be forgetful. I keep notes to help alleviate this. I also give incentives to players who choose to help recap and take notes.
