Wasn't sure where to post this. I like making 3D characters with heroforge. If you're unfamiliar, it's a 3D character model. You can have it printed. You can get the digital 3D assets. You can take a 2D screen shot and turn it into a 2D portrait or a token for roll20. I'll need to know a few things to get started: * character species * male/female and if visually masculine/feminine * character class * something about the equipment they wear * something about any weapons they may have * something about any key features * if there is a specific color palette you want me to work with that would help, too. If you don't have any idea you can pick a season for colors to work with. I'm happy to build something for you, share it with you and let you provide some feedback for me to make a round of alterations. Here are some examples that should demonstrate custom colors, and detailed custom poses. https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52814439/ https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52814478/ https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52814515/ https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52815027/ https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52814841/
This sounds fuckin awesome! Oriel Underflower: * Lightfoot halfling * nonbinary, but you can put female for the selection there * Circle of the moon druid * Light armor, but nothing prominent * 2 Javelins * long brown hair, heavy coat, blue/purple eyes *a wintery color pallete- lots of neutrals mixed with blues and purples lmk if theres anything else i should tell you, or if i should put this in your dms instead ^-^
Always said: lmk if theres anything else i should tell you, or if i should put this in your dms instead ^-^ Feel free to send as much additional information in private messages as you like! Should have some time to throw this together tonight! I'll send you a version privately. You can let me know which aspects work for you and which you're less interested in. And, I'll make some revisions.

Nice offer. My main campaign, all the PC's have a Hero Forge for their Tokens and Portrait. I just don't have a particular need for another one right now, or I'd take you up on this

I've sent some options out to requesters and it's been fun! I've got some time this weekend to make more. I can do players, NPCs, big bad guys. Whatever you need. Here's an example of the process: https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52904646/ That's a starter character. Basic options. Color theme packages with nothing custom. No custom posing. No custom changes to the model. If you like it, then it's awesome! Basics tend to look fake, plastic, and wet. Also the default colors tend to be very vibrant which isn't an artistic direction everyone wants. This is what most people basically start with and what I would start to make adjustment to. These all represent first passes on color and options. All were designed to be close to the original rather than totally new takes on the character. https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52852983/ The core colors are the same to be left very close to the true original colors. The yellow under robes was brought down. It's now faded and has seen some age. The black outer robes now seem silky and I've brought out greens in the undertones. To match with those greens arcane symbols etched in green line the outer robes. The red cloth now looks darker and richer. The staff coloring was changed slightly. Now it's a dark reddish wood with black leather wraps and more dark red metals. The dragon head and foot are now brilliant metallic greens with slightly different hues to bring out features. This bright green stands out more. The eyes were kept a similar glowing yellow which now stands out more because of the color surrounding it. The orb in the mouth and at the foot were changed to be more green and yellow. Some items were added to the side of the model. A simple scroll case and a book of rituals. There's also now a cobblestone road the character is standing on. Due to the hood it's harder to see changes to the model. The shape of the facial features was changed slightly. Tones were changed. The eyes are less comically large have had some hue adjustments and a little glow was added. The pose is custom. The character seems more like they're in the middle of an incantation and less like they're posing for a picture. https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52853725/ Another simple first pass treatment. This replaces the green arcane sigils in the cloth with red. A lot of people are really drawn to reds and blacks together. I think this is a bit too much red, but this seems to be a combination people like. The pose was adjusted and again the character looks like they're in the middle of an incantation instead of standing still to have their picture taken. Magic energy is visible in their hands as they start to cast a spell through the staff. https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D52905208/ This is a separate first pass treatment. This is wearing different clothing instead of just a basic outfit picked at once from the selector. The core colors are blacks, greens, yellows, and reds. The arcane sigils are now a dark gold/yellow. Brighter metallic gold/yellow cloth exists as highlights in other places. A third metallic gold sits on top of the hood with a heavier look. Instead of the previous green dragon staff this is more red and copper. The orbs in the staff were adjusted to be more of a glowing bright yellow with tinges of red. The glow in the hand was shifted to purple ... because nothing says evil magic like glowing dark purples. The physicality of the model was changed. It's now older with a narrower, less brutish build. This isn't a hearty orc who swings an axe. It's a leaner less physically imposing character (now 7 and a half feet tall instead of 8 and a half). There's more of a stoop to the back and the facial features have been aged. So, you give me a model you want adjusted. Or a description. I will provide a couple of options for clothing/colors/poses/equipment. You let me know which things you like. I send something back with your updates.

What do you charge?

The left arm looks dead. That right arm looks very alive. The left shoulder looks interesting. But, you need something going on with the left arm and hand. Even if the goal is to have it look like it's hanging loosely. Stand upright at your desk right now. Throw a captain morgan leg up on your chair and lean your elbow onto your knee. Feel where your opposite arm is and how it's laying there. It's not locked straight. I can't see what you're using for colors because of the pro subscription thing. But, these look like the leaf colors (mostly). A lot of the coloration looks plastic and shiny. You may want to bring that down a bit. The lighter green highlights on those chitin colors are great! The one other green color you have is a solid highlight tone. The orange coloration you're using is a little awkward. It's the abdomen, the groin, the back of the head, and the nose/mouth area. It feels a little like highlight weak spots on a boss from a video game. If you include it in more places it may lose this feeling. Nothing may be needed here. The orange stands out a lot. It's good to have a pop of color, for sure. The kitbashing to use shields as wings was an interesting call. I like it! I also like the usage of ... what seems to be a metallic blue on the wings and forehead (and maybe the upper abdomen). The brown on the stinger or whatever it is you have going on at the tip of the tail seems like a rock color. It's very dull and it doesn't look anything like any of the other colors you have. This makes it stand out. I like the posing on the tail a lot! Try to have the eyes not looking exactly where the head is looking. It helps the figure feel more realistic. Figure out where you want the figure to be looking. Put the camera in that position and make the eyes look there. When I do that with this figure the eyebrow ridges completely cover the iris/pupil area which would mean it cannot see where it's looking. People rarely have their head perfectly vertically aligned. There is SO much movement and motion going on with the pose (I'm hoping you did that manually and that it's not just a default pose available through the pro subscription). The hips and the shoulders both show movement. That right arm seems natural with the wrist allowing the hand to hang limply and naturally. The tail looks like it's moving. The head, though? That looks rigid. A small amount of tilt would make it seem more realistic.

I did change the colors on the body to look less like plastic (had to recreate these to try and get close). There's more roughness to reduce the shine. I also toned down the green a little. It looked like you had a metalic color on top of the head. I tried to maintain that. I did set the head to be at a more natural looking angle. Ignore the shape of the head. Look at where the torso is facing. That's different from the head. The head isn't looking straight on. And, the eyes aren't looking exactly where the head is facing. This combines to make it look more alive. I did set the character's left arm (right side of the screen) to not look like it's broken, rigid, and locked into place. I adjusted the metal on the blue for the wings to reduce how much metal was in them. The intention was to make them look more like they're iridescent (which we do see in the animal kingdom) and less like it's painted metal. The second set of wings that look like they're blue and ... kind of on fire you can ignore. I was just trying to work in the orange pop of color you had as a visual element in the character. https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D53591899/
