We are a group of six experienced adult roleplayers looking for a DM/GM. We have been playing together for over two and a half years, five of us currently play together in two concurrent campaigns. We finished a two-year campaign of Descent into Avernus about six months ago, and were about four months into a new campaign ( Eberron ) when our DM had to step down due to time constraints. We are open to playing almost any game system the DM/GM would like to run. Our game time was Monday's from 9pm-1am PST, but we might be able to move it.
Hello! I know this post is a little old, but I am looking for some new groups to play with and branch out my DnD experience! I have played for about 4 years now, and have DMed a full-run campaign + am currently running a long-term homebrew campaign! If you are all still looking for a game, I would love to get in contact and discuss what genre/setting you guys might be interested in! I am also very used to large groups, having DMed for about 6-8 people at a time. Feel free to private message me here, or, on Discord: @the_blue_hearted!
I see the post is old, but my tuesdays just opened up, if you're still looking.
Likewise, I have been looking for players to run a Pathfinder 1e game. I would be running a heroic campaign based out of the city of Skelt, which I have developed past the established setting, but in keeping with the setting itself. Mostly wilderness adventuring. I am RP oriented and pretty loose about XP with leveling coming as fits the narrative. For this campaign I'm also pretty loose about treasure, as most of the party should be adventuring for glory and the mission (heroes, right?). I'm not, as a DM, adverse to looting and questionable morals , but for this campaign I'd like to run good guys (mostly). I have a ton of experience in D&D, having started playing with the Red Basic box back in the 80's when i was in 5th grade. I have, over the years, played or run Top Secret, Gamma World, Multiple iterations of D&D, GURPS, and a few other games I've forgotten about. I haven't run a game in a while, but it's like a bike. I am a reasonably good story teller and i keep myself pretty well organized on my end. I also have a very creative 14 yo daughter who doesn't like to play (though she has) who is constantly providing me with ideas for NPC's , items and situations, so I have a creative team at my disposal lol. Part of running the heroic campaign for me is also to set myself A bit of training wheels to get my groove back on before I tackle more complex things. As a DM i am more of a "never let the rules ruin a good story" kind of guy. I try to stick closely to the rules as a consistent standard, so there are "laws of physics" so to speak, but I will rule 0 if I see fit. Rules lawyers ruin games. i think good RP is far more important in a fun game than charts and equations. I live in the eastern time zone, so your late night game would be an afternoon/evening game for me, and Mondays are an open day for me. I do travel occasionally, I have a hobby of jumping around my region to attend concerts. As an example on Monday Sep 8th I will be going to Atlanta to see Garbage with Starcrawler. Any of these excursions would be planned out well in advance, and depending on the time, I might still be able to run a limited session from on the road (I usually take a Greyhound bus to these events). This is a long response, I know, but Ive got some time to kill this morning and I have been trying for quite some time to get an in person game running, but have not met with success. Getting a new gaming group together is one of the hardest things to do. Anyhow if y'all would like more information about me or my campaign feel free to hit me up. I can be found on FB as Scott Roberts ( https://www.facebook.com/c.s.roberts.10/ ) residing in Tallahassee, Fl. I will warn you, if you see my FB, that my politics are just left of a guillotine, so there's some pretty interesting memes there. On that point I don't care about any one's gender ID / politics / religion / or any other self identifying markers - just don't be a dick. I hope to hear back. I think I need a snack. Burned up a lot of energy typing this.\ -S-
" C R. Likewise, I have been looking for players to run a Pathfinder 1e game. Mostly wilderness adventuring. " Hi Scott, Two questions for you: 1. Are you sure you are ok with the time on Monday? It would be 12-4am for you, if you are in FL (PST is 3 hrs behind EST - one of our players is in EST). 2. Why are you interested in running PF 1e instead of 2e (our group has only played 2hrs of Pathfinder, and it was 2e). FYI - we are now just 4 players.
heck, had my math backwards. guess I should fully wake up before I post. That time doesn't work nearly as well for me. As far as running PF 1e, in general, is it improves on 3.5, which I feel is a really good rule set. If you are familiar with those rules then PF 1E is the same game with some small but impactful tweaks. It simplifies some combat rules, improves feat progression and balances the game a bit more. It also has a ton of material available, as it can easily use 3.5 (or 3.0) material in addition to its own. It has a lot of online resources as well. Anyhow, looks like those hours dont fit nearly like I'd thought at first glance. I'm willing to work around something a lot earlier, but I'm willing to wager that y'all have your own scheduling concerns. As far as party size, I do have a player or two I could bring in, but I think that point might be moot, lol
That's a bummer. I had a suspicion that was the case but was hoping I was wrong. Thanks for offering to run!
