Hello! I am Dylan, a beginner DM. I've run a module for a while, and did some homebrew gaming in the past. I'm looking to dip my feet into more serious DM'ing, and am eager to bring some more players into my story! The adventure has you step into the role of a Lightkeeper, an organization meant to guard the magical Lighthouses that keep the monsters and evil beings away at night. You also are tasked with protecting people of the land as well, as beasts ranging from werewolves, zombies, vampires, monstrosities and others have swarmed the land. Join the party and don your lantern badge! Session zero will be on May 16th! The current party comp is one druid, one cleric, and one sorcerer, and will begin at level three. I envision the game going to at least level 10, if not a bit higher. I often stick to the rules but have altered some things for some classes. I am open to some homebrew alterations if you ask, so don't hesitate to do so! When I run games, my first priority is my players having fun. As a DM, that's how I 'win' at DND. The more fun y'all have the better. I also plan to include personal arcs and stories for all my players. Even if one player has an arc that is their focus, I plan to also sprinkle in stuff for other players as well. For character creation you may be a tiefling, aasimar, kobold, dragonborn, human, half elf, gnome, halfling, half orc, and dwarf. You'll need a reason to have joined the Lightkeepers as well. I'll be using an enhanced standard array for all characters, which is 17, 15, 13, 12, 10 and 8. All races also start with a feat, and variant humans may have two feats. All classes are allowed save for Artificer. This wil by and large be 2014 rules but I might sprinkle in a bit of 2024. I've yet to decide that.
