Hello adventures, heroes, and mercenaries! The Set Up: Baldur's Gate is under reconstruction after the recent war the Cult of the Absolute. While the inner city is rebuilt and restored to its former glory, the lands around the Gate have been getting less attention from the diminished and thinly stretched Flaming Fist. Armed wanderers, sellswords and adventurers are needed now more than ever. The roads south of Baldur's Gate have become dangerous in recent weeks. Goblins, kobolds, gnolls; stray beasts. All manner of danger has come from the Cloakwood and Wood of Sharp Teeth.  Many contracts have been posted to clear out the creatures to make the roads safe once more, but another bounty has been posted. A bounty seeking information; why are these creatures not returning to their filthy lairs? What has them so spooked?  Meet the bounty contact holder at the Friendly Arm Inn. From there the adventure can begin. Characters: Will be starting at level 2 and I'll work with each player to create as in depth a backstory as the player desires. No matter the depth to start with plot threads related to your character will come up one way or another during the course of the game (unless requested otherwise). I support the use of any official material for character creation.  Gameplay: When running combat I like to make it a challenge but not overwhelming. Some monsters will play to the party's strengths while others will be included to prod at weaknesses. Combat is where I like to stick to rules the hardest but even then bend on a few things here and there.  I dislike killing player characters, I prefer to challenge and impede. Most of the time I like to find other ways around it, a permanent wound or something along those lines. A lost eye or a limp. I have a penchant for horror type elements. Monsters will be monsters. That said I prefer things to be freaky and weird rather than overly gross. More Resident Evil than Saw for example.  I also enjoy plenty of goof and levity. Things are no fun if its just serious spook all the time, gotta laugh too right? I won't do a voice for every NPC and some minor conversations will be glossed over (Don't need to rp out renting a room at an inn every time for example) but some will either if they're important or I just think it'd be fun to give an npc a voice. It might be more common for an npc to have a preferred method of talking rather than a full accent. I'm no pro voice actor but like to bring what I can. Under no condition will sexual content be described or roleplayed. The Pricing: Beginner Friendly and Session 0 is free. Session time and day are subject to change based on player needs.
