Whispered 3D Dice Rolls Visible to All.

As the DM, whenever I make a whisper roll all of the players can see the 3D dice roll on the their screens. They do not see the chat info or the number after the modifier(s), but they can still see and understand what dice I am rolling. This makes my surprise rolls less surprising, and doesn't allow for much fudging of the dice when necessary. It's as if I had a DM screen where I rolled my dice, but now it's missing and my players see it all! This started for me last Tuesday on May 6th, and is still happening. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, do you know how to fix it while keeping 3D dice rolls on? (I know I can turn off 3d dice rolls, but it's a feature I enjoy and would like to continue to use in my campaign.) P.S. Apologies if a similar post has been posted here or elsewhere recently by someone else.

Hi CH00MBA,  Which character sheet are you using?
Hi I have exactly the same problem. Since last roll20 update (I believe since foreground layer came live) my players can see 3D dice thrown by me (GM) even though these are GM rolls. They do not see the result roll on chat which is hidden as always but they do see 3D dice on display. I have been using roll20 for about 3 years now and it has never happened before. It doesn't matter if I roll from macro, token action button or character sheet (npc and old CS2014), players see my rolls which isn't that bad in a fight but when I DO need to have a hidden roll they know I am up to something which is not good... Fuding is impossible.. I am using Firefox / Chrome for my plays. Deleted cache and all history files from browsers but nothing seems to work. Please help! :(
I'm using the 2024 5e sheets. ^ almost exact same scenario as Bizi!

I suggest filing a bug report with Roll20 (this forum is primarily for community help). You can do that via the Help Center . Just guessing, but iirc they fixed the 3d dice rolls not displaying to others, and that is probably causing the current issue.
Yup, I filled a bug report, we'll see how it goes. Thanks !
Yes, reporting it as a bug was the first thing I had done. I came here to see if anyone had the answer to this question about it: " Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, do you know how to fix it while keeping 3D dice rolls on?"
I do think you're right, this issue is an effect of the recent fixes of the other aspects of the 3D dice. Fingers crossed it all works out and we both get to have our cake and eat it too!
Ok so I issued a bug raport on roll20 and I got an answer that they are aware of the problem and working on it. There is no specific date of a fix and in the meantime they suggest to turn off 3D dice.

My wife (our group's DM) has been experiencing this as of the foreground update as well. I can confirm that the DM turning off 3D dice fixed the problem- the players did not  need to turn off 3D dice. Hope this helps!

Any update on this bug? Players can still see GM-only rolls.
Nothing here Shane, same issue still.
Umm...are we sure that support even knows this is a thing? I don't want to keep sending reports, but I have seen no communication from support on this lingering issue...

Did you get an automated response? I know it's not a real response, but it verifies that communication is working in both directions. (I do see that some folks got an acknowledgement. I'll make a report and see if I can get any update.
I got this response: Your request (319705) has been updated. To add additional comments, reply to this email. Hi there,   Sorry for the trouble, it looks like this is an issue we're currently aware of.   I'm not able to share a specific date on when this might be addressed but our team is looking into it.   I do recommend abstaining from using the 3d dice if possible until then.   Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.   Best Regards, Wilbrooke
I see that this issue is known to the devs. I enjoy using 3D dice and was just curious if I missed a communication.

2 months later and it is still unfortunately a thing.. :(

I know that at least one person on this thread has filed a  Help Center Request , so this suggestion might sound nonsensical, but the more people that call attention to an issue, the more weight it gets. If this is an issue for you, and you have not filed an official report, this is the best way to communicate with Roll20 how much of a problem this is. They add up. Forum reports are mostly community help.

Disabling 3D dice for the DM works, but is there any way to keep them on while still hiding whisper rolls, or is it just a bug?
Yup, I filled mine few months ago and still nothing changed. We need more people on this one.
I've had this issue for quite some time as well. Perhaps adding my voice can help elevate this.
