Another workaround way is: You can build up your own initiative counter on the tabletop, and not use the "Turn Tracker" feature that's built in. Designate a section/corner of your tabletop, that is excluded-external from the map itself, just on a corner of your map area. Draw a box for everything to fit in. At the top of the box, put a generic Token, perhaps a token of a smiley face, or a token that has the nameplate showing, "Initiative is listed here". Give a Player permission to edit this token. On this token put a Color status bubble, such as the blue bubble. On the blue bubble type a "1". It is the 1st round of combat. When it advances to the 2nd round of combat, if this is something you wish to track, your Player Initiative Scribe will simply click the blue bubble and change its status from "1" to "2" to represent a new round of combat. Under the token, you've got that box you drew. Each Player can use the Text tool to type themself into the box. Player 1 rolls a "5" for initiative --- he types "Player 1 Bob Jenkins, 5" Player 2 rolls a "1" for initiative --- she types "Player 2 Sally Sue, 1". The players drag and drop their line of text, into the proper order, ascending or descending initiatives. When it is a new initiative roll, those players each edit their own line of text, change their rolled number, and re-sequence the lines of text as needed.
