Hi all, I’m brand new to D&D and tabletop RPGs in general, and I’m hoping to find a beginner-friendly group or a patient DM who’s open to guiding a complete newbie through the ropes. I did play a couple of D&D sessions way back when I was a teenager, but I remember pretty much nothing—so I’m essentially starting from scratch. I’ve always been interested in D&D, but honestly, the amount of content and rules is a bit overwhelming, and I’m not sure where or how to even begin. I’d really appreciate a group that’s open to helping someone learn as they go. I’m especially interested in D&D 5e, but I’m open to other systems if they’re beginner-friendly. I’d also be totally open to trying other tabletop RPG systems, I played a lot of Warhammer 40k when I was younger, so I’m familiar with tactical, combat-heavy games and structured rulesets. That said, the storytelling and roleplaying side of TTRPGs is completely new to me—and something I’m excited to explore.
