After I Exit the session each week, the take the suggestion on the "/exit_landing/" page to post a new topic as an adventure recap. I'll spend a while writing up a few paragraphs as reminder post of what happened so the players can remind themselves if there's a longer than usual break between sessions. That post-session page ALSO has a link to the "Schedule Next Game" tool. ALSO super helpful to immediately be able to schedule the next game. Writing up a session summary and scheduling the next session are two things that I want to do after every session. The problem is that sometimes I forget the order of operations. I usually start with the write up while it's fresh in my mind. Unfortunately, if I click "schedule next game" button before I click "post topic", anything I've written up in the editor widget gets erased. After the fourth time erasing my write-up, I'm considering it a UX bug, not simply user error. In 2025, it should be easy enough for either the forum post widget to auto-save into a session variable OR for the scheduling widget to not require a page refresh to submit. OR to remove the scheduling widget altogether from a page with an open text editor. Any of those would save me from losing work every few months when the lesson wears off.
