Hello, One of my players have a recurring issue with him being able to see the entire map when dynamic lighting is activated. We have tried checking his active extensions, and even using a different, freshly downloaded web browser. He is the only one that have this issue, and it persists in different campaigns as well.
Make sure the player has not been accidentally promoted to GM.

That looks like Explorer Mode is on to me. Did you drag his token all around the map? You may want to try resetting Explorer Mode and see what happens…

For example, even though explorer mode is marked in the added image, it's apparent that the player can see beyond the defined walls. He can see the entire map, even areas where his token haven't been on.

Hi Aristokraken,  Please assign the player's character or token to your dummy account (not your GM account in player mode).  Next, check what the dummy account sees.  If the dummy account sees the same things then it is likely a setting issue with some characters or tokens etc.  If the dummy account does not, then it may be a problem with the user's system.

Hi Aristokraken! Regardless of the tests you have run (I am not discounting them), the screenshot you have shared is showing Explorer Mode. To completely rule this out, try resetting explorable darkness using the dynamic lighting tool and see if the issue persists. Also, see if you can capture a screenshot of what they see that is definitively showing them seeing past dynamic lighting walls. The screenshot above doesn't tell us what might be going wrong.

Wasn’t there something about adblocking VPNs preventing DL from working? Maybe the player's computer is on one.

I don't know if a VPN would have that effect. Mostly that would deny resources like images. Something that blocked Javascripts might.

Thanks for the reply. When I can I will try and add a few screenshots/short video of my player's POV when explorer mode is off so you could witness the full scope of the issue (one of the weirdest bugs I've ever seen). In the meantime, I am adding the character's view using the ctrl+L function (imperfect as it is) so you can see how the explorer mode is supposed to look compared to the og pic, in regard of my defined walls and barriers. Again, he is the only one that experiencing these issues, without having special permissions or settings.
Howdy howdy! If you haven't already, I'd recommend having your player reach out to us through the Help Center ! We'll do what we can to troubleshoot and get him back up and running again.
