Asking as it says this is a character sheet, is there a way to make a custom background/species/class and have it populate for your players so they can choose it from a list?  Or is this just allowing you to make a homebrew character?

Thanks for the Q! That would be in the realm of custom compendiums, which we'd love to support, but don't yet.
I assume this is only applicable to the 2024 sheet?

I had the same question as Feyte, and I see Dean's response. This is a nice feature as-is, but I was really hoping for the feature you've described as a custom compendium, which I don't see on the roadmap, so it's presumably a long ways away. Being able to put arbitrary values in fields like species, background, class, etc, etc is vital to making the 2024 sheet usable for those of use who don't limit ourselves to just the Wizards' material.  And I get that it's a first step before you can have a custom entry to drag and drop onto a sheet (or select in character builder). But I can do this (arbitrary species etc) on the 2014 sheet.  It's not a value-add for me to have it on the 2024 sheet, it's more of a "it wasn't ready for use yet" item.  And I do get that resources are limited and you're trying to do it "right" rather than quick and dirty. But when will we see a drag-and-drop custom species?

We're focused first on usability, user interface, and automations support, before pulling up to consider other big swings.
Hi, Apologies if this is already a thing as I can't find how to do it, but are there any plans to add in a function of being able to add Spells to your custom species? For reference, like how many of the Elf ancestories aquire spells at certain levels, being able to add in certain spells that will automatically appear in your list as you use the builder to level up?
