"Do you hear them crying out "villain" and "devil"? They speak not of me." - Strahd Von Zarovich Play in an unforgettable journey in the lands of Barovia! This heroic fantasy adventure within the gothic horror/dark fantasy setting has deep lore, engaging NPCS, and a challenging but fair game play experience. With a BBEG who is ever present throughout the story that you will love to hate as you continue to uncover his motivations and desires. Be the hero or even wait until those crucial life and death situations brings that side out. Either way expect to find more enjoyment from being cooperative with your party and NPC's you meet. A new twist on backstory. Instead of exploring the backstory you're set to explore the depth of your character. How do their flaws, fears, and even regrets get confronted as they learn about this new land? Level's 2-10 Be prepared to form meaningful relationships with NPCs all throughout the campaign. They can be the most valuable resource be they allies, give information, or new story hooks. Look forward to combat that is plot connected and failure is not always the end. How will you start you 'fish out of water' experience? Players will be given two 'hooks' to help tie them into the story of Barovia. Giving them moments all throughout the campaign to resound with and dive deeper into their character. The two paths: Barovian Relics - This hook focuses the players' attentions on their own interests and personal connections to the land of Barovia, encouraging them to invest their attention in NPCs and locations tied to their unique relics. Each PC will start with a relic that interacts with the world they find themselves in. Lost in the Mists. - This hook focuses the players' attention solely on Strahd's tyranny and the Barovians who suffer under his rule, encouraging the players to immerse themselves in the campaign's lore and to develop unique relationships with its diverse cast of characters. A mercenary in Barovia would know if they want to continue their life of services for gold, they need to get back home. Already adept to following paths and speaking with people they should do well with everything the demiplane has to offer.
We've got four people all ready to go and next game time we will be doing our session zero. Good time to hop in and join from the start!
We're doing our session zero here tonight! There's just enough time to hop on it and join from the very start! Party make up is Artificer Wizard Bard Druid
We had a successful session zero and are one floor into the introduction of the campaign. Still a great time to jump in and feel like you've been here from the start!
We've had a paladin join the party! One spot left in this fantastic group of players! They're about to get out of the Death House and into Barovia to see what awaits them in this new misty land.
Party is now level 3 and in the throws of keeping the undead at bay on the eastern side of the Village of Barovia. Lore is dropping, allies are being made, and the action is starting! Still a fantastic time to get in!
