Not Tech Savy and desperately need help to see where I've gone wrong !!!

Hope someone can help. I'm setting up rollable tables for treasure generation Ind / Hoard and I have reached a snag.  Treas-H0-4 works perfectly and lists all the items pulled from the tables. However Treas-H5-10 although from what i see is the SAME script but just to a different table, results in the yellowed boxed that you have to hover over to reveal the items pulled from the tables!!? Why is it not returning the info in the same format as H0-4? Can someone please advise what I'm missing
Please copy and paste the exact contents of the Treas-H0-4 and Treas-H5-10 macros, as well as the exact contents of the two tables (or maybe 5 items from each table if there are a lot of items). My guess is that the formatting of the items in Treas-H5-10 is different than Treas-H0-4.

Hi Simon, So far I just don't understand exactly what you mean by, " the yellowed boxed that you have to hover over to reveal the items pulled from the tables"?  I do see the Yellow highlighted text in your screenshot. I don't understand what you're saying "you have to hover over to reveal the items".  It honestly looks like the Yellow is telling you the table results, without needing to hover.  Can you explain that part again?  Based on the rest of your post, my guess is the issue is something to do with the Contents of the rollable table, 1 or more of the rollable table items that would-be the results could be malformated in a way that breaks the roll template or the chat display.
Thank you. The table examples are as below

Have you got a Mod API script installed, like Recursive Table?

Just a guess, I don't really know, maybe Jarren will know for sure, or someone will come along who knows about Recursive Table specifically.  but my guess is some sort of "control character" within your Rollable Table results chart.  It might be the - (minus sign). If you could try removing all - from your rollable Table Items such as where it says 25gp-ArtObjects change it to something like 25gp;ArtObjects  see if that fixes it

Alternatively it might be an issue with your last Table Item, the one where you're trying to roll (a random number of) another Table from within the table item result. Have to check to see if Recursive Table can do that

GM/DM Simon said: Thank you. The table examples are as below What I meant is you need to copy and paste the actual text from the macros and the tables. Screenshots will not be helpful as there can be hidden characters that are not visible, or other issues that are hard to determine from a screenshot. And if I need to provide some code as a troubleshooting step, I'm not going to try to type it all out and possibly create an error - I'll want to cut and paste and edit. This is almost certainly an issue with a nested table, and the specific items and how they are formatted in the table.
Ah ok. Sorry for the long post then and thankyou for your patience&nbsp; Macro for the nested macros: /w gm &amp;{template:default} {{name=Treasure and Rewards}} {{Rewards Individual}} {{[Treasure-IndCR0-4](!&amp;13;#Treas-I0-4) [Treasure-IndCR5-10](!&amp;13;#Treas-I5-10) [Treasure-IndCR11-16](!&amp;13;#Treas-I11-16) [Treasure-IndCR17+](!&amp;13;#Treas-I17+) }} {{Rewards Horde}} {{[Treasure-HrdCR0-4](!&amp;13;#Treas-H0-4) [Treasure-HrdCR5-10](!&amp;13;#Treas-H5-10) [Treasure-HrdCR11-16](!&amp;13;#Treas-H11-16) [Treasure-HrdCR17+](!&amp;13;#Treas-H17+) }} Everything works fine up till&nbsp; [Treasure-HrdCR5-10](!&amp;13;#Treas-H5-10) which is where the returned format changes.&nbsp; I haven't done&nbsp; [Treasure-HrdCR11-16](!&amp;13;#Treas-H11-16) [Treasure-HrdCR17+](!&amp;13;#Treas-H17+) yet as they are big tables and didn't want to go through it all for it to be wrong somewhere and have to do it all again.&nbsp; I have been following&nbsp; <a href="https://youtu.be/5HNKDJlprJ8?si=lmQIv6KCi2Q8IJ87" rel="nofollow">https://youtu.be/5HNKDJlprJ8?si=lmQIv6KCi2Q8IJ87</a> &nbsp;but with the addition of : /w gm&nbsp; !rt[Delimiter:BR] /w gm &amp;{template:default}{{Treasure and Reward=[[1t[Treasure-HrdCR0-4]]]}} this one and the ones before it work in order for it to look nicely presented. So there's some kind of weird interaction going on with Recursive Tables and large rolls. [[2d6*100]]Cp, [[2d6*1000]]Sp, [[6d6*100]]Gp, [[3d6*10]]Pp, [[[[2d4]]t[25gp-ArtObjects]]], [[[[1d6]]t[Treasure-MagItem-A]]] Will return the rolls from&nbsp; 25gp-ArtObjects and&nbsp; Treasure-MagItem-A as inline rolls that need to be hovered over. But adjusting the Sp roll to be 2d6*100 instead of 1000 makes the rolls return as fully displayed in chat. [[2d6*100]]Cp, [[2d6*100]]Sp, [[6d6*100]]Gp, [[3d6*10]]Pp, [[[[2d4]]t[25gp-ArtObjects]]], [[[[1d6]]t[Treasure-MagItem-A]]] However, it looks like as a workaround, you can simply nest the rolls for the Art Objects, Gemstones, and Magic Items in an additional set of braces, and it'll prevent the weird inline display: [[2d6*100]]Cp, [[2d6*1000]]Sp, [[6d6*100]]Gp, [[3d6*10]]Pp, [[[[[[2d4]]]]t[25gp-ArtObjects]]], [[[[[[1d6]]]]t[Treasure-MagItem-A]]] So it's some back-end interaction that will probably need The Aaron to take a look at and see what's going on. It's possible it's related to this 'returning 0' bug that was fixed about 7 months ago.
Also, if you're simply recreating the tables from the 2014 DMG, you can copy them from here and save yourself some time.
You Sir are a god amongst men!!! Thank you so much for your help it's greatly appreciated Simon
