[LFP] Looking for 4-5 players for a Homebrew Campaign - Of Brine & Blight

Technically posted this yesterday, but put the wrong tag on it... Whoops! Hey y’all, looking for a group of 4-5 players who are open to playing in (hopefully) a 1-20 game in a homebrew world (which, you’ll notice, is heavily inspired by both Elden Ring and Rain World’s rot, but I attempted to put my spin on the ideas). The game is mostly about the story of the world, the surviving civilizations, and about the PCs and their stories navigating these things. ~~~ Summary: The world has long since been ravaged by some sort of creeping, aggressive rot that swallows forests and corrupts nature and man into horrors. Most who remain cling to the coasts or take to the sea, having built stilt-villages and fleets to survive. Four great powers: floating collectives, a fortified island kingdom, the coastal bastions, and the isolated stone-born Lithari, all struggle to hold back the rot, though each hides its ambitions and fears from one another. It has been almost a millennium since the world fell beneath the rot. Few survived the initial outbreak and even fewer managed to secure themselves a future atop the waves. To many, the gods are believed to have fallen silent. A group referred to by the surviving civilizations as ‘The Rot Cult’ have begun treating the rot as the sole remaining deity. In doing so, most have let the rot in. Beyond the safety of the waves, there are hints of what came before: shattered superstructures, magical wards, and ruins full of mysteries too deep in rot-infested lands to touch. Some believe answers lie inland, others fear the Rot is adapting, and that even the seas won’t stay safe forever. You are among those who choose (or are forced) to venture into the unknown, whether to protect what’s left, to uncover what was lost, or to claim something for yourself before the world finally drowns beneath the rot. ~~~ That’s the very general gist of the game idea so far. There is a heavy emphasis on nautical themes, political intrigue, and exploration. I think it’s a fun idea to offer y’all a secondary character (only using one at a time when off-boat, it also isn’t mandatory) for the purposes of ship crew size as well as in case you need a break from your primary character you can choose to swap out for a few sessions. For some information about myself. My name is Lyra (She/Her) and I've been DMing for about 8 years now and am currently attending grad school while working (because of this, I have such a dire lack of free time :( ). I'm a massive nerd from books to D&D to video games. As far as scheduling goes, the only time that I have available to run this would be on Sundays after 5pm EST. Additionally, this game would be run biweekly so as to not entirely dominate your Sunday evenings. There are currently two players for this game at time of posting. This game likely wouldn't be able to start until the end of September/start of October. If you have any additional questions about the game or are interested in joining, please reach out. My Discord is @Lyra_Bird.
I'm interested in joining. I'm not sure if we're using D&D 5e, or maybe PF2e. Character concept: A scholar of natural lore, student of the natural order, a member of an academic institution. due to conflicts with some of his peers over the nature of The Rot, he was tasked to venture forth and find additional data, samples and create new field analysies. in reality, this is punishment for having rocked the boat, disturbed the status quo and the common concensus about The Rot. he's not expected to return, much less with the requested things. He's now driven to fulfill his task, not out of pride or a sense of accomplishment, but pure, unadultered spite.
