Welcome to Savage Tide , one of the legendary Adventure Paths from Dungeon Magazine . The story begins in the bustling free city of Sasserine, a vibrant port full of intrigue, danger, and opportunity. From smuggling jobs and pirate skirmishes to expeditions across uncharted seas, your party will uncover ancient secrets, explore perilous islands, and confront threats that grow darker and more dangerous with every voyage. This campaign runs in Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e , the edition known for its tactical combat, deep customization, and long-term progression. Expect crunchy rules, rich roleplay, and a full campaign arc that can take characters from level 1 adventurers to high-level heroes shaping the fate of the world. If you love the depth of 3.5, this is your chance to dive back in. At my table, I focus on a balance of story, exploration, and combat. Player choices shape the world, and the game will feel like a living setting where what you do matters. I stick close to the rules as written to keep things consistent and fair, but the focus is always on flow, narrative, and making sure every player has a chance to shine. After every session, we’ll take a few minutes to debrief , check in on how everyone is feeling, and make sure the game is working well for all players. My style of play emphasizes story and roleplay , with the choices of the characters shaping the world around them in meaningful ways. I enjoy the tactical depth of D&D 3.5e and will look for opportunities to use the system’s mechanics in fun and interesting ways. I stick close to the rules as written to keep things consistent and fair, but I won’t let the game get bogged down in endless rulebook flipping. The focus will always be on keeping the game moving , balancing narrative flow with crunchy mechanics, and making sure everyone has a chance to shine. We can discuss and agree on any homebrew rules the group might want to include during Session 0. This campaign contains mature themes consistent with swashbuckling dark fantasy. Players can expect: Character death and lasting injuries; blood, gore, and extreme violence; pirates, slavery and human trafficking; cults, demons/devils, and dark magic; cannibalism, body horror, and mutilation; kidnapping, torture, and execution; prejudice, sexism, racism, classism, etc.; emotional trauma, PTSD, and family tragedy.  Many of these themes are central to Savage Tide . All heavy material will be handled with care, with session debriefs to keep communication open.  About Me I’ve been involved in tabletop role-playing games for over twenty years, with fifteen years of GM experience. Storytelling is built into my bones, and I love crafting campaigns that players can truly invest in. GM Style My tables are story-driven, with a focus on character choices that matter and worlds that change in response to what the players do. I enjoy running games where both narrative depth and rules mastery are valued—you’ll get tactical challenges and mechanical crunch, but also plenty of space to roleplay, scheme, and grow your characters. The ideal players for my table are those who want to engage with the world seriously, collaborate with others at the table, and bring their own creativity to the story. I welcome newcomers to roleplay as well as veterans who thrive on immersion, character development, and meaningful challenges. The vibe is relaxed but purposeful: we’ll laugh, joke, and have fun, but when the dice hit the table and decisions matter, we lean into the drama. Themes can get dark, intense, and emotionally weighty, but always handled with care. I especially enjoy stories where characters wrestle with honor, duty, loyalty, and sacrifice—themes of heroism and moral weight often sit at the heart of my campaigns. Table Standards No explicit sexual content No excessive crudeness or vulgarity No real-world political drama The focus is always on story, adventure, and the kinds of challenges that make role-playing games truly shine.
