[LFP] Curse of Strahd: Reloaded– Looking for 4–5 players

System: D&D 5e (2024) Module: Curse of Strahd (Reloaded edition) Platform: [Roll20/Foundry + Discord voice] Schedule: [TBD], [5Pm] [PST] – sessions around 3–4 hours Start Date: [TBD once group is filled] Players Needed: 4–5 About the Campaign: This is Curse of Strahd: Reloaded , the gothic horror classic where your party is drawn into the cursed land of Barovia. Expect dark themes, tough choices, creepy settings, and a lot of roleplay alongside combat. You’ll be facing Strahd von Zarovich himself, one of D&D’s most iconic villains. DM Style: I like to balance roleplay, exploration, and combat. Horror is a theme here, but we’ll also use safety tools so everyone feels comfortable. New players are welcome, and you don’t need prior knowledge of the adventure. What I’m Looking For: Players who enjoy roleplay and atmosphere. Respectful and collaborative at the table. Players who like to use their imagination How to Apply: Reply here or send me a message with: Your D&D experience (new or veteran is fine). What excites you about playing this campaign Any character concepts you’d like to explore (not required, just nice to see).
Hello! My name is Ambra and I've been playing DnD for 3-ish years so far, so I guess you can call me experienced. I'm currently part of 3 campaigns-- one on Monday, one on Tuesday, and one on Wednesday. All three of them are heavy into roleplay and character development so I'm decent at role-playing. I'm also familiar with the way DnD works and the mechanics of the game.  I'm currently looking for a Thursday game that I can play with my bf and MAYBE one other person. An 8pm EST start time is great for us. As for me, I'm really excited about this campaign because I've heard how amazing Strahd campaigns are. I'm really excited to try something new since I haven't played a module like Strahd before.  Some character ideas I have are a Drow Arcane Trickster... and a Leonin character of some sort. Also, maybe a fighter. Not so sure yet. My current characters are a tiefling druid, elven ranger, and owlin wizard, so trying to look to play a martial class as well. I do have a question though. What day of the week would we play? I'm good with Thursdays and Fridays. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Interested to play if chosen, depending on the day and length of gameplay.  I am 4 hours ahead of PST, so 5pm PST is 9PM. As long as not more then 4 hours (taking me to midnight) I am good on that. 1. Experience - Been playing 4 years now, started as a player, and DM for past 2 years for 2 ongoing groups.  Love the concept to roleplay in character (I don't do voices lol) if everyone else does!  Most important is sharing the spotlight and having a good time with everyone. 2. Campaign Excitement - Always wanted to play this as a player, love the gothic horror idea, read I Strahd, and would love to meet people to share this adventure. 3. Character Concept - Class depends on the the rest of party, flexible.  But would love to be a character that maybe recalls a past death (not his whole past life, just the ending of it, or knowledge that he has lived before), or perhaps had a loved one that perished and tried to join them but was saved having since vowed to live for them... or another concept depending on group and GM dynamics lol.
Hi there, I'm Ambra's partner and we would be interested in joining for a Thursday or Friday game (we may also have another person who is interested, still determinant). I've been in the D&D realm for about 8 or so years, but only really started playing seriously for around half of that time. I would say that I am very experienced with the game flow and rules in terms of the 2014 5e ruleset, but I have a generally decent understanding of the 2024 5e rules that's only lacking in practical experience. I enjoy both the roleplaying and combat aspects of a good D&D game, and enjoy a nice balance between them (I'd say about a 70-30 ratio of roleplay-to-combat). I have never personally played in a Curse of Strahd (or any prewritten adventures, in general) game, but I've heard good things and praise for it. I really only enjoy D&D games with a serious story, homebrew or otherwise, and I know that Curse of Strahd is quite serious, dark, and grizzly even; it's right up my alley, and I would love to experience it for myself alongside a party of fellow minds. I generally do not come up with character concepts until I get a feel for those at the table, and I also like to fill out classes to better suit a party, but I am currently really wanting to play either a Sorcerer, Rogue, or Wizard. A recurring trend that I seem to take with creating character backstories is implementing an element of searching (ie: for a lost loved one, for vengeance against someone, etc), and those with a chip on their shoulder. Of course, it all heavily depends on how I would feel out the party and you as a DM.
Hello, hello~ It’s a pleasure to meet you and read over your post! I’ve always sincerely been interested in a more horror oriented campaign and I feel like this would be absolutely lovely to take part in. I’m in love with D&D and being able to experience it in such a way would be definitely exciting. I believe in an atmosphere of fun and friendship OOC and will always express respect for and towards those that I’m playing with. Thank you for taking the time to look over my post~ ♥ Experience: My experience as a player has gone back about a decade now and while I’ve Dm’ed more than a couple times, I’m usually not within the driver’s seat so to speak~ Excitement: Regarding why I’m excited, not only will I have the chance to play within a lovely and grim gothic setting, I can explore the concept of roleplay within a horror setting, not to mention standing opposed to an iconic antagonist! The game sounds positively exciting just by the succinct description. Character Idea: An extremely interesting character idea I would love to play out would be a Shifter (Werewolf [wolf-like])(Long-Tooth) Circle of the Moon Druid that has ties to Barovia’s wilderness. (However, I’m excited to discuss anything with the party if considered to play. I’m very open minded.)
Hi!  Experience : I've been playing dnd and tabletops in general for six or seven years but I've been roleplaying basically my entire life Excitement : I have a big love of horror, one of my other top ttrpgs is Vampire: the Masquerade which is very much a horror system. I've heard of curse of strahd and have always been interested in trying a run through of it. Character Idea : I dont have an exact character fleshed out but I'm interested in attempting cleric or rogue. I usually play casters like sorcerer or warlock so I'm interested in trying out something new but I'm always willing to play into whatever role the party needs filled
