Are Old Campaigns Deleted After Awhile?

I was going to revive my old Strange Aeons campaign that I abandoned a few years back, since I had already uploaded the assets for 3/6 chapters of the game, but when I checked my list of campaigns, I saw it was nowhere to be found! Is this a known issue/expected feature?

Hi The Dungeonmaster! No. Old campaigns are never auto-deleted. Ones that have not seen activity in some time are put into cold storage. I.e. they are copied to a different server with presumably less expensive storage, since it prioritizes storage space over speed of access. This is invisible to the user. The game still displays where all active games display, but it is noted that if you want to run it, you must first restore it. This is done with a button click and a very short wait (less than a minute) while the game is transferred back to the active server. After that it is active again. But it should always display in your list of games. If you suspect that a game is absolutely nowhere to be found, and you are sure it was not someone else's creation that you were a player/gm in, and that it was not accidentally deleted, you should file a Help Center Request with as many details as you can provide. It may or may not be recoverable, but as indicated above, it is not Roll20 policy or practice to delete stale content.

No, they are not automatically deleted. The game owner/creator can delete it with Settings > "Delete Game". Normally after several months of no play, the game will move into "cold storage" which should still be accessible and listed in your My Games list. It just changes the button from "Launch Game" to "Restore Game". Once you click Restore from Cold Storage and wait a few minutes the game should be back to normal. If your game is missing entirely and not listed, that's not what Cold Storage does, it sounds like it was deleted. In that case reach out to Roll20 Help Center, https://help.roll20.net/hc/en-us/requests/new They might be able to restore a game that was accidentally deleted, or to investigate why the game appears to be missing if you didn't Delete it.
