This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of
$15 per weekly session. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment
transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. A
dark cult holds the fate of Phandalin in a fiendish grip, eager to
twist it into the throne of a nightmare empire. The heroes must tear
through the lies and face the horrors beneath, baked in shadow, in order
to stop the town’s descent into damnation and the driving evil behind
it. Phandelver and Below: Shattered Obelisk The Lost Mine of Phandelver… Continued!
This adventure sees the continuation of the story of the Lost Mine of
Phandelver from the original 5e starter box set. Players encounter
familiar elements from the original adventure, including goblin ambushes
and the town of Phandalin, but with new art and updated details. The
original adventure is mostly unchanged, but it’s been updated to include
a few traces of cosmic and eldritch horror which both become more
apparent during the latter half of the adventure. Phandalin
Phandalin serves as a great microcosm for the rest of the sword
coast. You’ll be introduced to a small but diverse cast of characters
that do a really great job introducing the setting to players in a fun
and fresh way. You’ll meet characters of various factions and alignments
showing the players all sorts of perspectives from the sword coast.
This campaign is far from a political intrigue story though, you’ll have
plenty of opportunities to slay bandits and goblins! Cosmic Horror The
second half of this adventure ramps up the themes of cosmic horror
quite a lot, and that’s something I believe every player should be aware
of before signing up for this kind of game, as I personally don’t
intend to shy away from it at all as the GM. There will be moments where
the utter reality of a scenario is questionable, characters’ sanity may
become very fragile, and existential dread from the threat of the
unknown and the thoughts of mortal insignificance will play major
roles. Game Details Platform: Roll20 (voice on Discord) Session Length: Approx. 4 hours with a short break halfway through Schedule: 6:00 P.M. PDT on Tuesdays Cost: $15 per player per session paid through PayPal Group Size: 4-6 players Experience Level: Any and all experience is welcome Ruleset: 2014 5e D&D (although I am open to adjusting to 2024 rules if most players in the group would prefer it) About Me Hello! My name is
Camie (although I tend to go by my middle name, Robin), and I’ve been DMing
various tabletop RPGs for about a decade. I got my start with 4th
edition D&D, and I’ve dabbled with Pathfinder, Cyberpunk, and
Cogent, but the overwhelming majority of my time with the hobby has been
with the 2014 version of 5e D&D. Additionally, I ran a campaign
from mid 2022 to mid 2024 that utilized a ton of the playtest material
from what was initially called “One D&D”, so I do have a bit of
familiarity with the newer ruleset to some degree. I like
running my games with the goal of prioritizing everyone’s overall
experience and enjoyment above all else. If the players in a group I’m
running for all agree that a specific rule is unfun and counteracts the
way they all want to engage with the game, I am always willing and eager
to implement a houserule to address the issue. Moreover, I like to keep
a neat channel (in the campaign discord server) listing out all of the
current house rules that are in place, and many of these sorts of house
rules are often established during a session 0 that I’ll run. I
love telling stories of all kinds in the medium of tabletop RPGs, and
I’m always excited to find new perspectives to tell those stories with.
It’s my belief that the players are just as much storytellers as the
game master is, and I like to do everything I can to highlight that and
help my players see it that way as well. Some of my hobbies
outside of tabletop gaming involve working out, bicycling, video
editing, and video games. My favorite film is Drive (2011), and my
favorite video game is Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (2007). Why Pay For D&D? D&D
(and tabletop gaming in general) has become an incredibly popular hobby
lately, and there are far more prospective players than there are
willing Game Masters who can and will commit to running a weekly game
for their players. By paying to join a game, you are getting a guarantee
that I will be here for you every week; I won’t disappear or suddenly
burn out. I love this hobby to death and it brings me so much joy to be
able to share it with as many people as I can. However, I have found
that by narrowing the pool of interested players by charging for games, I
tend to get players who are more interested and willing to dedicate
time every week to the hobby, so it’s a win/win in my eyes. *Additionally,
here are some more reasons for why joining a paid game ran by me can
offer you an experience you might not be able to find in a free game:* -
I love the hobby dearly, and it’d be my dream to work professionally in
the TTRPG industry some day; I’m confident that my passion and love for
the hobby shines through when I’m in the role of the GM. - When
everyone is required to pay to show up, the players in the party are
more likely to come to the (virtual) table with a mature attitude
appropriate to roleplay and roll dice without impulsively quitting or
no-showing without any heads up. - You will not need to pay for any other materials on roll20 at all, everything you need to play will be available to you. -
I run the game using Roll20’s Pro membership features, smoothing out
combat with instantaneous initiative, and implementing dynamic lighting
to make exploration feel more natural. - I’m always willing to
implement a new API script to address an issue or solve a problem
someone might be having with their character sheet, token, or something
else with the game. - Access to all relevant sourcebooks is provided free of charge via my compendium sharing. -
I make myself constantly available to my players via discord messaging
if you ever want to chat about the game or your character in between
sessions. Moreover, I’m very flexible about rebuilding a character if
you’ve played something for a few sessions and have started to realize
that it doesn’t fit your original vision.
