Ostinato: the Planetary Suite (closed) DM: Raven (she/they), fairly new DM Setting: Forgotten Realms Genres: Mystery, political drama, sci-fi, superheroes Info: Thirty years ago, seven superhumans known as the Planets swooped into Faerûn to defend mortals from beasts. The Planet Mars, the Bringer of War was particularly loved and revered by the people as a skilled tactician and politician. However, three months ago, Mars snapped and declared war on the Faerûnians themselves, giving a fast-approaching deadline for people to evacuate before she launches an all-out attack on all mortals on the continent. With no idea why Mars has made this change, the peoples of Faerûn are scrambling to reason with Mars and beg for her mercy. Every trained diplomat has been sent to negotiate with Mars, and none of them have returned in one piece. With no more diplomats left, the various countries of Faerûn have turned to their last resort: a team of adventurers, drafted and drawn by lottery, will be sent to talk Mars out of launching the attack. You are one of these unlucky winners. With your randomly-drawn team of adventurers, you will be sent to the Planets’ headquarters, known as the Syzygy, to negotiate with Mars, the Bringer of War. Fortunately, the six other Planets have also been summoned to the Syzygy by their leader, Venus, the Bringer of Peace, to discuss how to proceed as protectors of peace and order, given Mars’s astronomical shift. With the six other Planets at your side, you may be able to gather info that the previous diplomats couldn’t and use it to your advantage over Mars. Will you be able to stop Mars’s attack and rescue the Realm from carnage?
