Tracking abilities

Why can't we have a x/x to track how much of an ability we've used. Like abilities that can be used 2 or 3 times before long rest. What if I lose track?

Hi Seth B.,  Could you elaborate on what your post is regarding? If it is regarding a character sheet please indicate which one.

Usually things from the compendium that grant X number of uses per short or long rest already have this setup. But if you're adding a custom feature you can add this by adding a modifier of "New Resource". This gives you checkboxes next to the feature for tracking these things, and they auto refill after the required short or long rest.
