Have you been wanting to try Shadowdark or are you
Shadowdark-curious? Care to dip your toes in the D&D pool and try something
5e/old school adjacent? Hello, and welcome. I am a long time D&D player and
DM running my first game in this system. Join us, on this first venture, into
the Shadowdark.
System: Shadowdark RPG
(simple rules, fast play, lethal consequences!). Roll20, Discord, and
Shadowadrk Player Rules (pdf) are all FREE!
Platform: Roll20 VTT for maps/sheets/dice, Discord
for voice (mic required).
When: Weekly, Saturdays, 6-9pm [EST] First
Session : 11/15/25
Players Needed: Looking for up to 6 players, both new
and beginner players are welcome.
Learn to play: Long-term D&D DM running their first
Shadowdark adventure.
About
the Game: Hook/Premise:
Legends tell of the Sunken Citadel, a place of forgotten gold and
ancient evils. Few have entered; none have returned. Will your party
brave the depths, or simply fall prey to the darkness? Play
Style : Expect a challenging, old-school experience where
creativity and caution are rewarded. Combat is deadly, resource
management is key, and character death is a real possibility. You must
find your own path to success. Magic weapons and treasures await. Get
that money. Environs:
Dynamic Lighting map with curated ambiance and combat music for
amore immersive experience. Campaign
Type: A single adventure, run thru a series of game sessions, great
for those seeking short-term commitment or a chance to learn the system.
Additional games may be available in the future. Modified
rules: Optional rules available to adjust the various dials of the
game (e.g. Difficulty: Starting with max HP and 1 Luck token, reroll character
if all scores are below 14, etc.). Expanded
Classes and Ancestries become available after 2nd level Player
Expectations: Must
be respectful of all players and the DM Have
a reliable microphone and be present, and on time, for the session. Be
willing to engage with the game world and your fellow players in
character. No
prior Shadowdark experience needed, happy to teach the simple
rules!
