Pasting party tokens moves party ribbon to new map?

I know that Place Party is supposed to move the party ribbon, but in my current game the GM copied and pasted the party's tokens instead and that also  moved the party ribbon, unexpectedly. Is that an intentional feature?

Hi Aaron,  Are you sure they copy/pasted rather than used the new Place Party feature? Place Party will move the ribbon.

Copying and pasting should not move the party ribbon. Can you reproduce this behavior consistently?
Definitely did not use Place Party. We'll have to try it again - it's not my game, but I've asked the GM to experiment.
He tried it and is able to reproduce the problem. He’s pasting using the mouse, if that makes a difference.
He says that if he leaves out one party member it doesn’t do it; it’s only pasting the whole party that shows the issue.

Can he reproduce it in a brand new game without any scripts, and in a private/incognito browsing window without any browser extensions? I feel linke there's some missing piece here. I can't duplicate this behavior, nor have I heard reports.
Tried all your suggestions (deactivating extensions, different campaign, account, computer). Unsure how, but managed to clear the problem. I can no longer reproduce to issue. Thanks!

Good to hear, Dan! I assume you are Aaron's GM?
Yes, he is - I asked him to jump in so I didn't have to be the go-between.
