Making charactors avatar and token the same?

Is there a way to copy the token as the avatar. I have an image page and can use a selected image as the token but unless the image is saved on my computer I can not make it the avatar.

If the avatar image was uploaded to your account, you'll be able to find it in your image library, which you can then drag to the tabletop to create a token and set as the character's default token. That said, if you don't have a default token set, dragging the character to the tabletop will create a token with the character's avatar as the image anyway. For bonus points, the token you create in this fashion will already be set to representing the character, so you'll be able to link the bars to the character's attributes, and you'll be able to reference the character's attributes with @{selected|attribute-name} in macros. You can then finish the token setup (for example, linking bars to attributes, setting dynamic lighting range, bar visibility, etc.) and set it as the character's default token.

To add to what Brian said: When you upload an image it is in your library. You can drag it from the Art Library sidebar (right side of the screen) to where it says "Drop a file" in a character sheet, handout, deck, etc. You cannot use the Art Library manager (the popup window you get to by clicking the black star in the Art Library sidebar) for that, it can only drop images onto the tabletop.

I take it he means the avatar meaning the Player's portrait (bottom of screen). Russ does not seem to be asking to create a Token & has said he already has the token made. I agree that you can't use an image directly from your Library or your Tabletop for the player's avatar. The player's avatar is the one place in Roll20 where you would need to "reupload" the image. So yes, you would need to have the image on your computer first, as far as I know.
Thanks all. My observations from messing with it. The "Your Art Library" (star button) can only allows dragging to the tabletop or the desktop thumbnail size. To get it as an avatar for a character or full size on the tabletop you need to search for it using it's tag then it will drag full size. Use the "Your Art Library" to set tags and manage files for deletion.

Russ , that is basically correct. Initially "Your Art Library" was for image management only. Eventually there was a call to allow users to drag images from the window to the tabletop and that was implemented.
