How to stop canvas size from resizing automatically?

I'm trying to create a larger map by combining several maps together. This makes the playable area much larger than standard. However, every time I make the canvas size larger, it automatically switches back to default whenever I click or try to move something in the map. It won't let me upload a video to show what I mean.

Hi Arkol3404, Please go into your game, in the top right corner click the cog (My Settings tab). Click Graphics See if "Disable auto sizing of assets dropped on the Map Layer" is unchecked. That setting controls whether or not when you drop an image on the map layer if it resizes the canvas. Alternately, just tell it to not resize things when it pops up the window.

It is a little unclear what steps you are taking, an at what point the resize happens, and whether it is the playable board that is resizing (ie, the number of squares) or the asset that you would add to the board, or whether you're changing the scale of representation (how much 1 square represents), or number of pixels in a square... If what Gauss has suggested doesn't get you sorted, then I'd suggest using a series of screenshots if you can't upload your video. Just as a point of clarification, in case it matters: you can't "paste" an image (or a video) into a post, here. You have to use the "Image" button (second from the right on the formatting toolbar, then choose the image/video to upload/embed. If your video still won't post this way, it might be too big, in which case you might be able to scale it down with an online tool before posting it, and/or you could post it elsewhere and then link to it, here. Alternatively, a tool like Screen Recorder will automatically upload a video you take to their servers and provide you a link to the file. Not sure how long that link lasts, but it's an easy way to get a screen capture to a place that is widely viewable.
Hi! Thanks for your responses. Gauss, I did disable the auto sizing setting, but it was still happening. Not when I place a map on the page, but after resizing the playable grid to match the very large size of the combined maps. timmaugh, The order of actions is this: Place maps on canvas. Go into the page settings and resize the canvas(playable area) to 58 wide, 140 tall. Save setting. Everything looks good. Playable grid is over the maps correctly. No overlap between the maps and playable area. Everything is the right size. I then click on any part of the map layer, or I try to move an object I placed on the map layer The screen then goes black, shows the roll20 logo, then comes back. The combined maps are the same size they were(58x140), but the playable grid is back to its original size at the top left corner of the map. If I don't touch the map layer, nothing changes. The playable grid stays the same large size. But as soon as I do anything within the map layer, the playable grid snaps back to its original size.

Does this happen for any page in your game, or only the one you're referencing? And what happens if you reverse a couple of the first few steps: Add a new page to your game. Set the playable area to 58x140. Drag your map art to the map layer. Do you still get the problem? What if you go to the Objects layer, then back to the map (and make a change)... does that cause the problem? Just trying to narrow down the causes.

Arkol3404, Could we get into a Discord call so I can see what is going on? You can find me on the Roll20 Discord near the top (in the Champions of Roll20 section) as Gauss.

Another user has reported the same issue (sounds like), It is 1 of 3 issues described in this other thread: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/12591649/a-multitude-of-problems-recently-not-looking-good-for-roll20-bug-report-slash-advice/
