What is this game? We will be playing the newly released Alien RPG Evolved Edition . We start with Rapture Protocol : a tight, brutal ALIEN RPG cinematic starter scenario, perfect for brand new players and veterans alike. One station. One crisis. One chance to find out if you have what it takes to survive. If you survive and you like what you’ve seen in those rust-streaked corridors, you can stay on for an ongoing campaign: a “promotion” to a new ship, richer shares, and a long tour of hazardous salvage and biohazard cleanup shortly after the events of the Alien: Earth TV series . On paper, you’re cleaning up corporate disasters. In practice, you’re crawling through derelict outposts and quarantined colonies while Weyland-Yutani quietly hunts lost xenoforms, parasitic flora, and hybrid experiments the board will never acknowledge.
This is sci-fi survival horror : dim, flickering emergency lights; deep-shadowed hallways that never show you everything; bulkheads slick with condensation and oil; vents whispering above you; the constant groan of old metal around very small, very fragile human bodies. System, Tools, and New Players
System: ALIEN RPG – Evolved Edition (Core Rulebook + Rapture Protocol, with Building Better Worlds/other supplements as needed).
Platform: Roll20 for maps, handouts, and character sheets; Discord for voice.
Style: A mix of tactical maps (deck plans, station layouts, colony maps) and theatre-of-the-mind, always aiming for that gritty, industrial, H.R. Giger-style biomechanical aesthetic.
No experience with ALIEN or tabletop RPGs is required.
If you’re new, I’ll walk you through the rules, panic mechanics, and your first character step by step. Rapture Protocol functions as a contained test flight: you can try the system and tone before committing to the full campaign. Safety, Content, and Table Culture This game includes:
Sci-fi survival horror, corporate cruelty, and hopeless situations.
Graphic body horror, parasitism, and death.
Stress, panic, and characters breaking under pressure.
At the same time, the table is LGBTQIA+ friendly , and firmly opposed to sexism, racism, and bigotry of any kind. In-character cruelty does not excuse out-of-character nastiness.
We’ll have a short safety / expectations talk before play. I use a mix of simple tools (check-ins, “pause” / “fast-forward” requests, open-door policy) so players can always ask for a scene to soften, skip, or stop. Nobody is locked into being uncomfortable “for the story.” Schedule, Price, and How to Join
