[EST] New player – 1st D&D game ever! Looking for a group

Hi everyone! I a m looking for a beginner-friendly D&D group. This would be my very first D&D game, so I am still learning, but I’m really excited to get started and have fun. I ’m based in Canada (EST time zone) and I’m usually available evenings or weekends.

Hey Binnip!  I dont currently know of any open spots in campaigns. If you are interested in joining a beginner friendly 5e westmarch feel free to send me a dm since I dont believe community guidelines allow me to post external links in forums. On a westmarch we have multiple dm's and players, games are run multiple times a week and you can sign up whenever you have free time, using the same character for all games. Most of our dm's use roll 20 to run games and we use discord for our community centre and voice chats.

Welcome, binnip! It can be hard to find a game on the forum like this. The best thing to do is use the JOIN A GAME feature from the "Games" drop down menu at the top of the screen. You can use it to search for the game that you want to play and it will show you all of the open games that are currently seeking players. I'd advise you to be wary of games without a set Dungeon Master/Game Master that feature 100 players. You want a single game with no more than 4-6 players in the group. Once you find one, follow the instructions to apply and the DM will help you from there. My guess is that you want to join a current Dungeons & Dragons game, so you want to search for "D&D 5E" in the game search window. Good luck!
