[5e 2014/2024][EST][Saturday][9PM EST][Empire of the Ghouls][Later Nights]Friendly DM looking for 1 to help us fill an empty spot and share a dark fantasy setting! Friendly DM looking for 1 to help us fill an empty spot and share a dark fantasy setting!

Greetings everyone! My table 1 more opening which I am looking to fill before this Saturday evening after a previous arrival ghosted without mentioning anything and would like to fill their spot. Details about the campaign can be found below. This campaign will be a traditional dark fantasy setting where factions are gathering their power by making evil alliances and where the player will take the role of a citizen who has answered the call to fight the new and growing evil threats and movements. Here is an excerpt from the store page: "Citizens of Zobeck are going missing and tension grows. Catacombs beneath the urban abodes may have answers, but what lurks in them may not enjoy company...*Rumors swirl of an unholy marriage between blood thirsty factions. As haunting dreams and prophetic utterances swell, the danger becomes clear. Such a union would be catastrophic...The machinations of the ghouls swirl beneath the surface of the world, leading it closer to destruction...Who will uncover and stop these foul and, dare I say, ghoulish workings?" This will be a later night based table and also give PC's the option of using creation options that are quite unique and are found in this setting such as races, feats and subclasses. This campaign will be milestone based and have stats rolled or assigned through point buy. Our platform is over Roll20 and the party is currently made up of 1 Paladin, 1 Cleric, 1 Wizard/Fighter multiclass and 1 Sorcerer. This campaign will take PCs to lvl 13 and have an approximate ratio of 60/40 RP to combat atmosphere. Some additional restrictions for creation are no evil PCs, no UA and no flying races. Our sessions take place at 9PM EST every Saturday and run for 3 hrs give or take. I know that there are players that are looking for this highly unusual time and this will be a good time for many that want later evening tables. If interested leave an application below with some info telling me about yourself. I will be conducting interviews over voice through Saturday evening and will leave this posting open until the chair at the table is filled. Cheers! :) Name? Age? Experience: Discord: Tell me a little bit about yourself: What makes you stand out? Why should you be considered? What do you want from this adventure?
Name? Bampf!Moniker if you were wanting my actual name I’d feel more comfortable sharing in private if I get chosen Age? 22 Experience: Not much experience I played a DND campaign for a year but it was cancelled  Discord: bamfmoni Tell me a little bit about yourself: I got into DND because of stranger things ngl but after actually reading some of the books and watching Critical Role this stuff was lowkey fire lol. Other than that I love writing characters in my free time which is probably why I gravitate towards DnD  What makes you stand out? I’m a lore junkie and love character Interactions. I don’t think it really makes me stand out but I love engaging with the characters and world in the campaign Why should you be considered? I’m super flexible with creating characters in the lore and love seeing the all player character shine  What do you want from this adventure? Just for me and everyone at the table to have fun!! I’d expect the story to be filled with lore and adventure along with the main plot

Name Dylan, Age 25, Experience 10+ years every edition from castles and crusaders to D&D 2024, Discord: thoptersword, About me: I am a software engineer for the navy, D&D is my favorite hobby, I like playing characters with lots of options like cleric/artificer, I have two puppys! Why consider me: I am nice, flexible, not a min-maxer, and laugh a lot. What do I want: a fun experience and making friends!
Hello Jeremy, Name: Dane Age: 39 Experience: I've played off and on over the years since middle school playing 2nd edition, but I've not played DnD in about 4 years. I'm new to the 2024 ruleset but I am familiar with the previous rules of 5e. There's some interesting changes with 2024 with dual wielding and I really want to test them out. Discord: daneicusrex (display name: Daneicus) Tell me a little bit about yourself: I work in tech. I recently moved to the small town where my parents live. My mothers health isn't too good and I'm helping my dad take care of her. Because it's a small town there's no opportunities for in person DnD and I could really use some escapism that is social, that's why I'm looking online.  What makes you stand out? I have a gregarious laugh and a great sense of humor. I'm not judgmental, I don't mind where people come from or what they believe as long as we're good to each other, I also have thick skin and I'm not easily offended. Why should you be considered? I like playing characters that work together with the other players, and building ties with their in-game characters. I like the roleplaying aspect where the DM gets to sit back and let the players talk, occasionally joining in. I don't mind being the one that breaks the tension to start such roleplaying. This way we each get to describe our characters backstories and engage in the shared storytelling that DnD was made for. While I'm not good at voice acting, I still try using one to denote when I as a player am talking, and I as the character I'm roleplaying talking. What do you want from this adventure? I want to play a frontline battle hardened mercenary using two scimitars, maybe a handaxe or two for throwing in combat. This isn't a heartless merc with no soul, he's one with a good heart and depth. I want to roleplay the character into the combat. I see there's already a paladin and a possibly a cleric and fighter/wizard at your table for frontline work, but there's no exploration focused class for traps, locks, or similar. I've never played a rogue but I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. If this would be a better role for the table. As for no-flying, I'm fine with that. I like playing humans, sometimes elves that don't fit the traditional elven stereotypes (graceful, elegant, etc).
Hello, I hope this hasn’t been filled yet, but since it is still up I have high hopes. My name is Jakob and I am 27. My experience would say I am proficient, I have played a campaign before with work friends a couple of years ago. Eventually we all got split up and it died and I then carried over with a few other friends and I actually DM’ed a campaign, it again was decent and went pretty well but still it eventually just ended. I have really been wanting to get back into it again, I have missed playing and might need a little tuning up to be honest but I can most likely fit in and pick right back up pretty easily. A little about me, I am married, have 2 kids, work full time in HVAC. I play video games, golf, and just do family stuff I guess. I get along with most people. discord is: StackinJacksons What makes me stand out? Nothing really, I am pretty average. I can play a character pretty well, I would say I am pretty good at chaotic whimsical type things and I enjoy just having fun. Why I should be considered, I am easy going and can have fun. I can play whatever to balance the party as well I just want to have some fun. I want a good solid story. And immersive playing. It’s fun when you have fun. You know? Anyways thanks

Name: Call me Zel, its nice and simple. Age: I am at home and comfortable in the middle ages, having shown exemplary survival skills thus far. Experience: A hodgepodge of DnD4e, 5e 2014, 5e 2024, and Savage worlds over the past decade of recent recall. None of it contiguous.  Upon recent request I have come back to DM an open-world mercantile campaign in 5e 2024, which I have over the last 6 moons. I am looking to enjoy some time again as a player. I enjoy world crafting, wordsmithery, and dry with. Dark and gritty campaigns suit me fine, because no one can be immune to fickle dice nor the joy of rolling four and dropping one when fate decides. Noteworthy Characteristics: I relish challenging scenarios with real consequences, finding clever solutions to impossible problems, and gearing up for a good ole skull crushing dungeon crawl. Should needs require I've the capacity to spin a newly refleshed character with haste, suitably tailored to meet a party's need. A digital hermit by design, with a high degree of ease with modern technologies. For consideration: A consistent player with availability, looking to experience 2024 5e from the other side of the screen, with multitudes of envisioned characters dying to play at the table. Seeking: Foremost, a consistent table with invested players. With a grim and grifty scene of classic chaos and skulldrudgery, and the opportunity to breath life into the newer 5e 20204 mechanics. Let me know if any of the above appeals... Cordially, Zel
