Cannot Edit Sheets Directly

I am trying to just input information onto the character sheet, but I cannot edit anything besides the biography details, skills, and ability scores. I can add no actions, traits, spells, or gear. There are no buttons to press on the sheet besides a little gear icon, and the gear icon does not allow me to do what I wish. I cannot fathom why it is so difficult to merely put information onto a character sheet. This is the 3rd character I've tried to no avail.

I am using the 2024 sheets.

Which browser are you using? Can you supply screenshots of what you are seeing?
