I have designed multiple RPGs, but I am looking for playtesters for a free one-shot for "All Players Welcome," Powered by the Apocalypse. APW takes 10 styles of players and throws them together to see how they play together. Are you a power gamer, wargamer, or adventurer? Either way, we got you. Our goal is to have at least 7 players so we can really see how they interact. Keep in mind, this is NOT a genre game. It's not fantasy, horror, sci-fi, modern, etc. It's whatever we want it to be. The only thing that matters is the collection of playbooks and archetypes; that is what is being playtested. Although our APW add says it costs $3 per month on our patreon, that is only if you want to be in more than a single one-shot per RPG. So if you think you might wanna give it a shot, reply or shoot me a PM. Below are the available playbooks, and the overarching archetypes they belong to ( slashed = claimed, out of 10 still available): 1) The POWER GAMER - the Perpetual Champion archetype: play the Power Gamer if you love using super-powers or magic, or if you love being the center of everything. Main character energy. 2) The ROLEPLAYER - the Expressionist archetype: you might thing, "well obviously cuz this is an RPG," but the roleplayer is the kind of player who is In-Character, like, all the time, and uses voices and accents, and most often gets upset by players metagaming or discussing IC things OOC. 3) The SUPPORT - the Help archetype: self-explanatory. You just like helping the rest of the party. You don't mind if nobody talks to you or asks for your opinion or let's you get a hit in on the dragon, so long as you can heal and hand out ammo. 4) The TACTICIAN - the Wargamer archetype: you are meticulous about where your tokens/minis are, and you care about all the tactical minutia, even if the GM doesn't. 5) The BUILDER - the Technician archetype: you love building systems, and the RP is more or less irrelevant so long as you can make something work. 6) The WATCHER - the Observer archetype: you mostly just watch the session. You still help, but your goal is to sit back and be entertained. 7) The ADVENTURER - the Explorer archetype: you just want to explore the world made by the GM and collectively by the players. If you can experience it, you wanna try it. 8) The INSTIGATOR - the Catalyst archetype: when everyone is standing around deciding whether or not to sneak up on the guard... you're already in the process of murdering him...and now things are kicking off. But at least someone DID something. 9) The ULTIMATE GIMMICK CHARACTER - the Novelty archetype: "what if... i played... an orc...trapped in the body of an elf...who got stuck polymorphed into a My Little Pony...?" Just make your character as gimmicky as possible. 10) The BARGAINER - the Negotiator archetype: "Hear me out" is the most common phrase heard by this player. They always want to try to get something out of every situation.
