Map Pins for Different Layers

I love the pins, A+ One request (unless you can already do this and I just missed it) is to have pins that can be on the map layer and the DM layer (basically, being invisible is already equal to being on the DM layer). But basically, I want the ability for pins on the map layer so they continue to appear outside areas the players can currently see (explorer mode - greyed out zone) so players can go back later and look at parts of the map that have already been explored and remind themselves what pins said.  The pins on the token layer should remain view only when token sight is active, but it would be nice for the option for map pins to label and be viewable on areas that are already explored but not currently visible to the tokens.

Hi DM Raven,  Map pins occupy all layers by design.  With that said, I think a rephrase of what you are asking for might cover what you want.  Ie: map pins being visible in areas shown via Explorer Mode.  Regarding being invisible to the players, there is already a method for that, map pins have a visible/not visible setting.
As far as I could tell, map markers cannot be seen if the player tokens don't have vision on them (at least using the dynamic lighting system). My suggestion is that there be a setting so the markers always show once discovered in exploration mode. (Like how things you put on the may layer will always show once they've been discovered.) Then the tokens/players won't have to have the map markers in sight to read them again later.

Yes, I think we are in agreement that that is what you want. I was trying to state that the best way to handle that is not to have a map pin for a specific layer (since map pins are on all layers) but for map pins to be set up to be seen in explorer mode. A different approach.  I was suggesting you alter your initial post to reflect the actual desire rather than the specific approach. Ie: the desire to see map pins in Explorer Mode.
