Trying to help my player create a character DnD5e

Hi. Wonder if anyone can help? I'm trying to help my players create a character in game. They have the character sheet creator open and so do I. I have given them permission to view and edit it. I'm trying to go along, page by page, class, species etc, and its letting them create it while I watch, its a bit laggy but ok. But when we get to the spells page it won't let them or me select any unless I close my copy down, at which point I can't help them choose. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? It's my first time running Roll20. There must be a way to help my players, who are noobies, to create their characters. many thanks

Hi SIMON P.,  That sounds like it could be the D&D 5e 2024 by Roll20 sheet. If it is not which character sheet are you using? There are over a dozen D&D 5e character sheets on Roll20.  The D&D 5e 2024 by Roll20 sheet does not like it if two people have it open at the same time.  Instead I suggest using a Discord call where they share their screen, then you can help them that way.
Hi. Yes it's the Roll20 2024 sheet. That's a good idea about the discord call, I'll give that a go. Only other thing I can think of is have a dummy sheet open on my screen and talk them through each page, although I couldn't actually see what they're doing. Many thanks
