This topic was surfaced 2 years ago and somehow did not get enough votes before it was locked. I didn't realize tooltips didn't work this way already, populated a TON of tokens with them in my most recent campaign, and my players stumbled on the fact they could mouse all over the dark areas of the map and get spoilers galore :( We switched to Roll20 in large part due to the Dynamic Lighting system and this problem just majorly undercut it. This really feels like a bug (and has been reported as one https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/12670117/dynamic-lighting-doesnt-hide-tooltips/?pageforid=12685451#post-12685451) but I'm resurfacing this topic in Suggestions to get it visibility. Or maybe someone could explain if there is some value/reasoning to having tooltips be the ONLY thing on a token that doesn't work with Dynamic Lighting that I'm missing? Because as is, the workarounds are either a) don't use them at all, b) toggle them on each token manually when a player first discovers them, which is not really practical in densely populated maps, c) possibly some kind of custom scripting? But given that we're all investing a fair bit of money on subscriptions and compendium purchases here, it would be great if they just worked along with all other token aspects, and were not visible to a player that does not have current vision of the token.
