Hello, I'm Lukas, 26 years of age. I've been playing 5e since about 2014 when some high school friends introduced me, and moved to Roll20 as we all moved on from high school. I've got tons of experience with the 2014 rules, and a little bit on the 2024 rules. I'm in CST, and looking for a group or DM based in the States or Canada preferably. Not really picky on days, but most week nights I won't be available until 8 or 9 PM CST. Weekends are usually more open, just can't do anything before noon most Sundays. I'm hoping to find more of a roleplay heavy game. Combats great and all, but I much prefer getting into the character over constant battle. I tend to play a lot of melee builds, not the biggest fan of casters in general. I can play casters, I just like being on the front line during combat. I've got a whole doc full of character ideas I've been dying to make into full on characters some day. Love making super complex characters and creating interesting backgrounds and stories for them. I'm totally open to changing back stories to fit into the world. I'm not the type to get offended if what I've written doesn't fit the world around the character. I don't any particular stories in mind either, so I'd love to write the character to fit the world they'll be a part of. I'd be happy to show some of the characters and their stories if you're interested, as well as my ideas doc to see if any of those would fit your game. If you ask my friends, they say I play too many dwarves. If you ask me, I don't know what they're talking about. I'm not dead set on 5e, it's just the system I know and love. I've had some bad experiences with other rulesets, but I think that's more a DM/GM issue than it was a rules issue. More than anything, I just want there to be player agency. I've had several games where it felt as if the characters had no actual merit in the game, just go here, do that. It really sucks when you put so much work into a character, and then never get to do anything with them in the world. Prefer using discord for voice/video (that is if you do video, I don't really care either way). 18+ themes and issues don't bother me. I just want to play the game, and make cool characters.
