Final Fantasy Rpg

Looking for players to join a tabletop based on the Final Fantasy series. The Core Rule book can be found at http://kirby.cyberbotx.com/ffrpg2e.pdf. Once we have a group we'll work out meeting times. I've just started this and am a roll20 newb so it will be a couple of weeks before we kick this thing off.
Interesting. I think that would be actually fairly interesting. Will a 3-D map be required for it?
Not at all. Its an original map so 2-D maps congruent with the story will be fine. The handbook is less daunting than others as well since there's a lot of material that can be skipped and skimmed unlike some rule books.
I'd like to give it a go but I am a newb to the system and will need help creating the character mechanically.
Im interested in this
So that's three. Obviously its a whole different rule set, but if you guys don't mind the reading then I'll be happy to produce this within a couple of weeks. I've been messing around with 3-D map rips from Final Fantasy tactics however we'll probably have to stick with the class 2-D overhead map look.
I want in on this if your still looking for people :3
Still looking for people. Sounds good. For our first go, I think it would be best for everyone to vote on what Final Fantasy they want to be used as the world for this rpg run. Obviously our Rpg would occur after game events and all character would still have to be custom. I'll go with Final Fantasy VII since that's the most popular. However I am open to suggestions.
so, were choosing a final fantasy game thats already out to rp?
also that link you sent isnt working for me.
I mean I'm still in the brainstorming phase of designing the game, so I'm open to suggestion we can do a custom world if that's what you guys would prefer.
I'm good for anything really, i wanna try out this roll20, and I think something like ff tactics would be easiest with your own twist maybe, but yeah up to you. im just intrested in playing whatever you choose to do. just let me know a date and time :3
I actually found the third edition:http://slowmojoe.wikispaces.com/file/view/FFRPG+Third+Edition+Core+Rulebook.pdf/175153769/FFRPG%20Third%20Edition%20Core%20Rulebook.pdf
for me it doesnt have all the jobs :/
thanks! :3
im definitely interested.
Okay sounds great. I think if you add all the chapters to learn the rules, not counting the appendixes and reference chapters for jobs, magic, weapons, ect. its roughly fifty pages of reading, so not that bad. As GM, I have more, but thats another story. I'm going to try to get fillable character pages created today and link them here.
http://pdfcast.org/pdf/ffrpg-character-sheet is the character sheet. You can't use standard adobe reader to fill and save the character sheet. You will have to use another method such as PDFcreator. All interested players please read all applicable info in the rulebook to run a campaign, create your characters, and then send your character sheets to mconstable101@gmail.com.
Ill play
Sounds good, read the rulebook and submit your character sheet when you get a chance. Also I'd like to add that for this campaign that we will not be playing with summons or traits.
I'd be interested, will look into it.
I have a lot of interested and maybes. People whom are definitely willing to at a minimum do one session a week starting within two weeks and are in the process of creation their characters please post a comment. Thank you.
In regards to Eric's comment. I'm actually a completely newbie at DnD and this ruleset in general. However its got some great info for player and GM alike so I'm going to give it a go. People of all comfort and experience levels are welcome to sign-up and create a character.
Ok so got a dilemma. I've noticed there are actually three other Tabletop Rpgs based on Final Fantasy. One is a Supplement to 3.5e and the other two are standalone. The supplement can be found here: http://raidzuo.deviantart.com/art/FF3-5e-40917580 Then of course there is this FFRPG 3E that is currently the game we'll be playing: http://slowmojoe.wikispaces.com/file/view/FFRPG+Third+Edition+Core+Rulebook.pdf/175153769/FFRPG%20Third%20Edition%20Core%20Rulebook.pdf , Final Fantasy D6 http://www.mediafire.com/?ua66kyai9l31qal , and finally Zodiac http://zodiac-ffrpg.wikidot.com/ . So basically do you guys wanna stick with FFRPG 3E or use one of the others?
which system are you going to use? I'd create a character and be willing to play but I don't know which book to read.
can I join this?
Final Fantasy d6 is something I have been following for a long time and seems to be the most polished, well thought out and mature FF RPG out there. Would love to play it : )
Question: After you work out using the new d20 site to work with traditional-type table-top rpgs (like dnd, final fantasy tactics, etc...), would you be interested in running either a FF7- or FF8-style game?
