D&D 5E (2024) Character Sheet & Builder by Roll20 - Adding Magic Initiate Wizard to the sheet at level 3

I have a player who wants to swap Savage Attacker for Magic Initiate - Wizard at level 3.    I have removed SA from the sheet and have tried dropping in Magic Initiate , expecting to make choices on drop for Wizard, spells , save DC etc, but that has not happened.  How would I correctly set up Magic Initiate Wizard for my player's character on the sheet , setting cantrip choices, level 1 spell choice, spell save DC, 1/day use?   Im afraid I dont meet the tekkie bar that this sheet has set : ( .

Hello! There is no way to swap out your feats at any arbitrary level, if your player wants to change the feat that they selected as an Origin Feat, they will need to go into the Builder, find the Origin Feat choice on the Feats step, and then swap it out inside of the Builder. Dragging and dropping onto the sheet provides some of the stuff from the builder, but in order to get full functionality of choices you will need to use the Builder.

This is majorly disappointing.  I give out feats for characters who accomplish personal goals or milestones in their development.  I also have a system where the characters can use their downtime to train towards attaining feats.  The inability of the new (Beacon) character sheet to allow for these situations is another sign of the inflexibility of the sheet and illustrates how limiting it is.

Hi Oginme, the Builder is designed to follow the rules of the game wherever possible, you are more than able to give your players feats via drag and drop whenever, but anything added this way that requires follow-up choices must be done manually on the sheet. The reason for this is because the sheet was designed to handle all of the data once the Builder has finished prompting the user for all of their choices. So when something is dragged and dropped onto the sheet that has Builder data, we have the sheet do what it can, but have chosen that in most situations that the player should edit their sheet or drag and drop more stuff (like spells) to their sheet as required. I would also like to note that the 2014 sheet could also not handle situations like this 😅. If there is something you're trying to edit on the sheet that can't do what the compendium does, or homebrew rules you'd like to see supported, it would be a good idea to make a post on the Suggestions & Ideas Forum .
It is getting even more annoying.   I have gone into the builder - started the necessary custom background and it only allows me to do +1 +1 +1 , not +2 +1 . Evidence is , when i select STR in the upper section, it is greyed out in the lower section.   Grrrr
Ack, add the lower option FIRST, so that the upper option then allows selection of the same stat.  FML.

Hi Colin, the intended way of getting a +2/+1 bonus using the compatibility is by selecting the same Ability in the first two dropdowns, and then the other one in the third dropdown, like so:
