Filter to select character names to show in the chat "As" dropbox and /w list

I run a game as a GM for several years now. Over time, we had several PCs and NPCs in the campaign, with dozens of character sheets in the game journal and archived. All those names show in the "As" dropdown list of the chat (to speak as a character), and also in the /w list (to send a whisper), including the archived characters. This is a problem when w have that many characters in the game. It would be very useful to have an option to choose which character names should appear on those lists, or at least hide the Archived characters from those lists.
