It's 2026, is there a way to build a custom magic item, then port it into a character's sheet?

I know this wasn't possible 6 years ago, but a lot has been developed. Is there a way now to build a magic item from scratch (or even from a template) then port it directily into a acharacter sheet?

This has been possible for years. You could probably have done it that way 6 years ago. Long answer: Which character sheet?

Medium Answer:  It also depends which sheet. Beacon-based sheets, such as the D&D 5e (2024) Sheet are not as amenable to scripting solutions.
