5e: Shopping By Class, Race, Etc.

I own multiple books and modules, some of which have the same classes, races, feats, etc., and some of which have unique ones. My goal is to buy more material to add more races, subclasses, etc. Is there a way to tell, while shopping, if a module contains "things you don't already have" - I know I can look through each one, see what it contains, then compare that to everything I own - this is cumbersome, slow. Is there a way to "hide all items you already own, hide all items with parts of content you already own"? Thank you.

Hi K.T.! That might be difficult. Although if you browser a particular item, it will display if you own it, and you will typically be pro-rated for any parts of a bundle that you already own, there's no way that I know of to proactively filter out previously purchased content. It sounds like a great idea, that I'll pass on, but a post in the Suggestion forum might help as well. As for parts of items? I know that DnDBeyond historically has sold piecemeal content like that, but until recently, they've had a much more controlled base to deal with. The Roll20 Marketplace is a lot larger and more diverse. It would probably be difficult to impossible to monitor something like that, given the variety of systems and publishers.

Hey K.T.!  Great question, and I have a suggestion for something that is already there. When you're building a character through the Character Builder, you'll actually see the Species, Classes, and Subclasses from content you don't own yet. They show up right alongside what you have, and you can click directly through to the Marketplace from there to grab what catches your eye. It's not quite the "filter the whole store by what's new to me" experience you're describing, but it does let you discover content you don't have, right at the moment you're building. The broader idea, filtering the Marketplace itself to show the options contained within the content, is genuinely interesting feedback. I'll make sure it gets in front of the right team. Thanks for asking and being such a thoughtful shopper.
