Need 1-2 players for campaign "Banished" My name is Shane and I'm the DM for a D&D 5E campaign called Banished. What began as an exploration-heavy campaign has transitioned into a more narrative focused campaign that is approximately at its halfway point. We started playing in November of 2024. The party consists of a level 13 Rune Knight, a level 13 Twilight Cleric and a multi-classed level 13 Rogue/Gloomstalker/Fighter. Sessions for Banished are very consistent with sessions every two weeks, on Thursdays at 6pm ET. Sessions run for 3-4 hours on average.  Our next session is acting almost as a one-shot, where the party has been pushed forward in time by four months to see the results of what will befall the world if they fail - with a goal of solving a mystery and making their way back. At the bottom of this post you can find the original campaign synopsis, however I think this would be a great on-boarding session to introduce new players to the campaign as you won't need a complete understanding of events to get started.  If you do join us, we're expecting this campaign to likely run until (and potentially through) this winter.  What we're looking for:  We're a friendly group, easy to play with and from the start of the session until the end, it's spent almost entirely in character, role playing from their perspective. You don't need to put on a voice, but we are looking for players who are interested in taking their role seriously and keep the pace moving. We want collaborative players who work well as team, who are as friendly and easy to play with as the rest of the party. If you're a power gamer, don't share the spotlight well or don't want to roleplay then this may not be the best campaign for you. We also strongly value consistency of play. If you expect to have personal conflicts with timing for our sessions, or reasons why you may not be able to often attend, or if you are frequently late to events, then this table will not be the right fit.  Miscellaneous campaign notes:  If you are interested in joining, you would be able to create a level 13 character of your choosing  We can work out a decent set of starting equipment We do not  allow homebrewing for character creation or for your abilities We roll for initial stats, there is no point buy Your character does not need to be grimdark/serious, but no joke characters I DM with my camera on and ask that you have it visible (so you can tell when character dialogue ends, etc) but you do not need to be on camera if you are not comfortable Interested in playing with us next Thursday?  Contact me directly on Discord at SnipeyMcGee#0374 - I work M-F, 8:30am to 5pm ET and will check messages afterwards. Let me know what kind of character you want to play! I'll send over a brief PDF of the table rules and I'll ask for a quick voice chat.  Initial campaign synopsis for Banished:  The town of Whitespire was a busy hub of trade for decades. The town had sprung up around the base of a great Wizard’s tower, its people benefitting from the conjurer’s fierce reputation and benevolent protection for many years. Eventually, it also made them a target. As the sun set on a balmy spring day, a rider came crying a warning. A force of two hundred bannerless soldiers were marching along the King’s Road towards Whitespire, with scattered reports of more cutting across the neatly tilled fields. The town was surrounded. You were there, caught up in the mess. Maybe you were a traveler stopping to rest for the night? Were you another hopeful, aiming to be taken on as a lucky pupil for the Wizard? A farmer who tended his fields? Or were you one of the soldiers, come to raze this quiet town? No matter your reasons, your fate was sealed. As the attack fell upon Whitespire a terrible spell was cast. Either cast by the defenders or the attackers, it wasn’t clear. In a terrible flash Whitespire was swept far away. Its people banished to a land of dark forests, thick fog and high cliffs. The fields are gone, what supplies remain are dwindling and the famed white tower has been sealed by some spell. The bestial cries you hear from the unfamiliar trees chills you to your bones. If you are to survive this place you must be strong, you must be cunning, you must be decisive and you must work together.
