Linking things on different layers

Does anyone know if there is a mod script that would allow things on different layers to be linked together? What I was hoping to be able to accommplish was to to move an image on the map layer and to have dynamic lighting lines move with it automatically. I haven't been able to find a way to do this yet.  Thanks in advance.

Oh!  Pretty sure I have a script for this. I know there is Dynamic Lighting Recorder in the 1-click that should be able to do this also.

I just had a go with using the Dynamic Light Recorder, and I think that this script does not work correctly with Jumpgate because of the change to pathv2 objects. I only get this error message if I try to link anything. " (From DynamicLightRecorder): An error occurred: Wrong number of objects of type [path] selected, should be between 1 and Infinity"
