Greetings to all that took the time to visit my post! I'm an
older player (he/him) looking to find a group that plays weekly or
biweekly starting around 8:00 PM EDT. Ideally I'm looking for it to fall
sometime between Sunday to Thursday, as my Friday and Saturdays tend to
be reserved for social gatherings and such. I understand that the
biggest boss to any campaign is the villainous scheduling, so I do my
best to be flexible if rescheduling arises, and I do understand that we
all have lives, jobs and families. That being said, I do my absolute
best to give as much advanced notice as possible if I'm not able to make
a regular session. I've played TTRPGs since my mid teens.
Starting with FASA's Mechwarrior, then onto West end Games Star Wars 2nd
Edition, to AD&D, to 3.5e, to Pathfinder 1e to DnD 2014, and some
Pathfinder 2e. I haven't had the chance to play with the DnD 2024 rules
as of yet, but I'm eager to give them a try, along with keeping with the
2014 rules, depending on GM preference. As to the style of game I
prefer, I like a good mix of the pillars (1/3 combat, 1/3 role play, 1/3
Exploration). I prefer a collaborative style game, and actively avoid
games that focus on realism, player vs player style combat options, and
Westmarch style games. I'm more than happy to join a game with new
players (anything to help expand a great hobby), and while I have a few
character ideas at the ready, I'd much rather work on them with the
party to make sure there's a good party cohesion, and if we can work in a
past history between one or more of the other players so much the
better. I'm all for premade campaigns or home brew, and just for
transparency, I've already played Lost Mines of Phendelver, Waterdeep
Dragon Heist and Storm King's Thunder premades. I'm sure if there are further questions you might have about myself or my play style, don't hestitate to reach out! Good luck to all on your adventures!
