Genuine Concerns.

I just got back from another thread were i was beckoned to defend another player who had a genuine concern about rude, sudden absenses after a row of promising communications. i just finished talking to that player on Raidcall and i can tell you that he was genuinely distressed about his situation, which was indeed an unfortunate gathering of circumstances. were i, and probably any of you, in the same situation, you too would seek the council of other, likeminded human beings. I truly pity those that failed to understand his motives and attacked him instead. As far as i can tell, this person did everything right, had profound reasons to assume he would be welcomed into a new group and did nothing that would precipitate the resulting silence he received several times in a row (...judging mostly from his mannerisms, the way he talks and his personal opinions). he genuinely is a considerate person, although a bit rough around the edges. ...to anyone who reads this; I beg of you, when you find someone who is clearly in distress about something - please, don't try to ridicule or trivialize him or her, but offer a little understanding and humanity instead, you may find yourself rewarded with a new friend. PS: plz do not respond to this message. My opinion is thus, as my request above, and it will not waver, nor is this in anyway intended as an attack to those people that don't feel the same way and their personal positions. Thank you for your time and may your path be showered in the light eternal.
Please stop clogging this forum up with this kinda stuff. There are dozens of places on the internet where it's appropriate to cry about how put upon you feel. This is not one of them.

Just posting to say I was reading the same thread and the quickness to attack and blame said person was mindblowing. Especially since I've been through the same thing(being ignored after being accepted) over and over again. As a matter of fact that is happening right now. Been 2 weeks since our current DM contacted us, he is always "offline". And the one time he was online he conveniently had a IRL game that day then went back t being "offline". All I learned today is that some people on this forum are overly rude and judgmental. Stopped reading the thread halfway through it was so unpleasant. Though i agree with billy, this section of the forum(Looking For Group) really isnt the place for this. But then again neither was the original post.
